He saw pain and desolation
But
He also saw the potential for her to be happy
He just wished he knew why she pushed away the bliss he knew she deserved
When she looked into his eyes
She saw laughter and love
But
She also saw the sadness that glazed over every time he looked at her
She just wished she knew why she caused him such sorrow
