I wanted everyone to forget. All of my subjects. Just forget that we existed and ruled over them. I didn’t know how but I could figure it out. I was the queen. I wasn’t completely in charge though. That was going to change. One night I woke up as Filip slept soundly next to me. He was accustomed to the cold now. I sat up over him. He looked so peaceful in his sleep. I took my hands and put them on his temples. I put him under my control. Just like the horses from the night he proposed. I opened his eyes to look at them. They looked frosted. They were glazed and frozen. It worked and he was under my control. He would do anything I said. A part of me regretted doing that to him but I couldn’t risk anything. I loved Filip and I still do. He also no longer ages. He still looks like he’s twenty two. I think it’s a side effect of the ice magic.
I woke up the next morning and Filip was still by my side. He usually got up before me. Then I remembered the magic and told him to wake up. He kissed me good morning and then got out of bed. Then I told him to get dressed. He did everything I said. Throughout the day people told him to do things but he wouldn’t do anything unless I told him to. I had complete control over him. He had some free will still. He could only do the basic functions though such as eating, drinking, using the bathroom. He rarely spoke unless spoken to. To be fair I had only done this once so I didn’t know the full extent of the effects. I had complete control over my husband. Therefore I had complete control over the kingdom. I was in charge and no one realized it. No one except Ingrid.
I followed Filip around all day whispering in his ear and telling him to do things. I made up excuses as to why I was with him today. They all believed me. Except Ingrid. We were sitting in the throne room welcoming our new guards that I had requested. Ingrid walked up to me after they had left, “What did you do?” she asked
“Really Ingrid no hello?”
“What did you do?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re going to need to be more specific.”
“Filip, what did you do to Filip? He looks empty headed.”
“Oh, that. I’m not sure.”
“Don’t play dumb with me Linnea.”
“Let’s just say I made him more obedient.”
“Linnea what happened to you? You’re my sister…”
“Step-sister.”
“What’s the difference?”
“You and your mother treated me horribly.”
“You did the same to us.”
“Get out of my sight.”
“One day Linnea. One day I’ll come for you.”
“You won’t succeed. You’ve seen the extent of my power.”
“If you can do it then I can too. Don’t you forget about…”
“Don’t! Don’t you dare speak his name!” I exclaimed. I then walked with Filip out of the room and left Ingrid standing there. My heart was completely frozen. The mirror shards weren't helping either. I was being corrupted. I was losing everything. My father, my brother, and my daughter. My victims were still hidden. The only one that hurt was Lucas. The next one wouldn’t hurt either. I was too cold. I was taking control but I didn’t have complete control yet.
