You are one of the smartest policemen in your town, and almost everyone knows you. However, you are currently single and finding it hard to meet someone. Most people don't want to date a policewoman because they think you won't have time for them due to your job. Sadly, they aren't wrong. You are frequently transferred from place to place and have little time to spend with friends and family. Currently, you are in Kristiansand, Norway, where an elusive thief known as the "gambler" has robbed over 11 crores. You have been called in to solve the case.
Y/N's P.O.V
It was 9:00 AM and we had a press conference scheduled for 11:00 AM. However, we received a call at 9:00 AM that some evidence regarding the oversmart thief had been found. I hurried to the conference room and saw that everyone was already seated.
Mr. Lee, the ACP, instructed me to take a seat, addressing me by name.
"I had to call an early press conference because we found something," he announced. A man entered the room carrying a box which he placed on the table before leaving.
"Everyone knows that I usually arrive at the station earlier than everyone else. This morning, when I got there, I found a box on the door of the station. I tried to open it, but I couldn't because it was addressed to a person called Choi Y/N. What's more, the sender's name was 'gambler'", he said. So, he asked me to open the box for us. He handed me the box and I nervously started to open it in front of everyone. Inside the box, there was a note which I took out and started reading.
I heard that there is a new police officer in town. Someone named 'Choi Y/N' has come. It's nice to know that the police are trying to find me for real this time. However, I doubt that this new police officer will be able to find me. I don't want to keep on writing the letter with stuff like 'I'm impossible to catch' or 'You will never be able to find me'. I'll get straight to the point now. I will be robbing 10 crores from this man. Try to save him or stop me while you can.
Gambler.
I looked at the note and saw a photo of a man who appeared middle-class.
As I shouted, "Find him now!", the entire station started searching for the person's identity, location, and occupation. Suddenly, the Assistant Commissioner of Police approached me.
He asked, "Who do you think could have 10 crores? The man doesn't seem wealthy."
"I wonder what that man does," I said after he mentioned robbing him.
A few minutes later...
Y/N's P.O.V
A few minutes later, some officers escorted a nervous man into the room and had him sit on the floor.
I asked him, "What is your name?" He looked around for a while.
"This is a very unsettling situation. Could you please explain to me why I have been kidnapped and brought here?" he asked.
