Olivia jumps out of bed as soon as her alarm goes off and tries to complete her morning routine quickly enough to leave before Damien arrives to pick her up. Ever since she talked to Damien and Rin, she's wanted to avoid all guys and sort out her jumbled-up thoughts and emotions in her head. As soon as she opens the front door, she finds Damien.
"What?" She asks while sighing.
"I'm here to give you a ride. I know you want your space, but I just want to make sure you get to school okay."
"Fine." She huffs out.
Rolling her eyes, she pushes him out of the way, not wanting her parents to see him. They're already on their way downstairs, so she stomps over to his car and gets in.
Damien fights with himself to stay quiet the whole ride, wanting to respect her wishes. He never knew it would be so hard to stay quiet. When they arrive at school, he lets her go inside without saying a word, though there's a whimper caught in the back of his throat. No matter what, he'll respect her and if she asks for space, he'll respect that too. He knows that if he doesn't, he may just loose her entirely, and he simply cannot have that happen.
During their first period, he stills reframes from trying to interact with her, instead he just admires her from his seat, looking like a lovesick puppy. The whole while, he thinks about how lucky he is to have her as a mate and that one day, when he wins her over, they'll be the happiest couple alive. He then begins to daydream about it.
Rin, much like Damien, doesn't speak to Olivia, trying to be understanding of what she wants. He can see why she wants to be left alone and doesn't want to make things any harder than they already are for her. Though, his main reason, however, is that he doesn't want to lose any chance with her. He's already at a disadvantage with Damien being her true mate, so he must work even harder to win her heart for himself.
Once school is over Damien drives Olivia back home. It's quick, much too quick for Damien. He wants to be around her longer. When they get out, he kisses her cheek, flustering her. Afterwards, he just goes home, not a single word of departure.
Olivia doesn't go straight inside but decides to go for a walk in the nearby forest. It's always been a beautiful place, and she loves to go trotting through it, especially when she needs to think. The crunching of the fallen leaves is soothing to her, and she's able to close her eyes a few moments after finding a tree stump to sit on.
With fresh air in her lungs, she gets lost a few moments. That was until she hears a growling noise. Her eyes fling open, and she finds three wolves approaching her. There is a light brown one in the middle and the two other are a darker brown. Tears well up in Olivia's eyes, she's not ready to die yet.
"Hey there wolfies." She says in a terrified tone, "I don't wanna hurt you. I'm just gonna go home now."
She gets up slowly and starts to back up, not wanting to turn her back on them. The center wolf starts growling even louder, causing Olivia to turn around and start running. The sound of paws pounding echo in her ears, and she runs as fast as her chubby legs would let her.
She isn't fast enough and finds herself on the ground with the lighter colored wolf on top of her. The other two begin circling her, and Olivia starts to cry. The wolf on top of her begins digging it's claws into her shoulder, this is the day she is going to die. She knows it.
She screams and screams, but then the weight on top of her releases. Turning, she finds two more wolves, a black one and a dark gray one. They are bigger than the other three. All the wolves are fighting, and out of fear Olivia scoots back until she ends up against a tree. She brings her knees to her chest and buries her head into them, staining her pants with tears. At this point she's just a sobbing mess, unable to think straight. All she knows is that she doesn't want to die. Not yet. She can't die.
