Mates (Original version)

Chapter 19

Rin landed and was met by his best friend and beta, Hinata. They hug and catch up in the car. Rin learns that there is a new family that joined the pack that Rin will be meeting once they arrived. On the way Rin also sent a quick text to let Olivia know he made him home safely. He felt a tinge of pain just thinking of her. He knows he will eventually be okay. Just not right now.

They made it to the pack house, and everyone was outside to greet him. As soon as Rin steps out of the car, he gets hit by the most amazing scent. He makes eye contact with an unfamiliar she wolf. They both say mate at the same time. Rin is happy that he got a second chance mate. He still cares for Olivia but now he feels differently about her. He is no longer sad about her not choosing him.

That night he facetimes Olivia with his new mate, Ai. He wanted to introduce Ai to Olivia because of how important both women were to him. He explained everything to Ai, and she was ok with it. When Olivia answers, Rin sees that Damien is with her.

Olivia greets, "Rin. I'm so happy you called. Oh, who's the pretty lady by you."

Rin smiles, "I got a second chance mate. Her name is Ai."

Olivia squeals, "I'm so happy for you. It's great to meet you, Ai. I know we are going to be friends."

Ai smiles, "It's a pleasure to meet you too Olivia. I have heard many good things about you. I too hope to be friends."

Damien adds, "Congrats Rin."

Olivia and Rin gasp in shock at the same time. They couldn't believe he finally said the right name.

Rin says, "Holy cow. You finally got my name right."

Damien shrugs, "Yeah. No big deal."

Ai looks confused so Rin explains how Damien always got his name wrong. Ai thought it was so funny.

They all talked for almost two hours. Olivia and Ai exchanged numbers so they could get to know each other. Rin was so happy that the girls are getting along. Damien is happy Rin has a mate now so he can stop trying to steal his.

After they all hung up, Damien and Olivia settled down and took a nap. Damien loves holding her while she sleeps. He really wishes he could get her to move into the pack house with him, but he knows that her parents won't agree.

They did, however, found out he was spending nights. Olivia's father walked into her room one night to leave a little gift they picked up for her on her dresser. He wanted her to be surprised in the morning. He got a surprise seeing Damien asleep in the bed with her. Henry decided to let it be. He trusted his daughter and he knew Damien was a good guy, even if he didn't want to admit it.

Olivia woke up and found the gift. It was a beautiful silver necklace with sapphire tear drop. She puts it on and was excited until she thought about it. When did they place this in her room? What Damien still in bed with her when they did? Oh no. How much trouble is she in?

She goes downstairs and pretends like everything is okay so she can gauge how much they know.

She smiles at her parents, "Good morning, guys. Thank you for my necklace. I love it.

Henry says in a stern voice, "I saw Damien sleeping next to you."

Anne smirks, "Did you use protection? I want to be a grandma, but you need to finish school first."

Olivia froze, "What?"

Anne laughs, "We are only joking. It's okay. We trust you to be smart about it. But please just let us know next time instead of sneaking him in. Oh, and you're welcome for your necklace. We are sorry we are never home."

Henry adds, "Yeah. I'll tolerate him for you, but I won't reframe from beating the crap out of him if he hurts you."

Olivia smiles, "I'm sorry for not telling you. I really appreciate you guys. I also don't mind you guys traveling. I love you and I know you love me."

They all agree and enjoy breakfast together. There was a knock at the door and Henry goes to answer it. He doesn't come back so Olivia and Anne go into the living room to find Henry lecturing Damien. Damien is as red as a tomato but is being respectful.

Olivia laughs, "Okay Dad. He gets it. That's enough."

Henry huffs and then goes back into the kitchen with Anne. Olivia and Damien leave for school.

After that day, Damien sleeps over almost every night and nights that he can't he has a pillow that smells like her. He is absolutely whipped for his mate, and he doesn't care.

Olivia was introduced to the whole pack, and they all welcomed her with open arms. Damien knew they would because Olivia has a special charm. People just love her. She will make a wonderful luna.

She has even started luna training with Luna Diane. Speaking of Luna Diane, she is absolutely over the moon with Olivia. She learns quickly and is just a natural.

The rest of the school year was uneventful. Everyone was happy with their love life and there was no one else trying to hurt Olivia. She even fully healed from all her injuries from the attacks. She just has some scars but Damien still thinks she is the most beautiful girl in the world.

Olivia and Damien have come a long way in their relationship. She even let him mark her so she is now forever his.
