Mates (Original version)

Chapter 12

Rin stayed for dinner but soon after left to go home. His uncle wanted to talk to him about something. The rest of the weekend Damien was busy with meetings. Mike did stop by to hang out on Sunday. He wasn't needed for the rest of the meetings.

On Monday, as per usual, Damien came to pick up Olivia. He is happy to see her after not being able to for a couple of days. Staying away from her is getting too hard. While driving to school, he has his hand on her thigh, he needs the contact. Olivia notice something was a bit off.

Before they get out of the car she asks, "Are you okay? Was it the meetings?"

Damien sighs, "I'm fine. I'm just having a hard time not being near you and I haven't marked you yet. It's okay though."

Olivia thinks for a moment, "Would something with my scent help you?"

Damien nods while looking at her.

She asks, "How about we switch hoodies? I wear this one all the time so it really smells like me and wearing yours will have your scent on me. That should help calm you some."

Damien smiles, "That's a great idea."

They get out of the car and switch hoodies. Her hoodie fits him perfectly while his was a bit long for her. Damien smiles at her thinking she looks so adorable.

Rin walks up and scrunches his nose, "Why are you wearing his hoodie?"

Olivia smiles at Rin, "I'm helping. He's having a hard time because I haven't chosen yet."

Rin frowns, "Fine."

Damien smirks at Rin. Olivia just shakes her head and leaves. She's letting her thoughts go in circles. She really needs to decide soon. This isn't fair to anyone. She makes it to her locker and sees an angry Amy.

Olivia walks up to her, "What's wrong Amy?"

Amy glares at her, "You know you have Damien and Rin chasing after you. Do you have to have Kyle too?"

Olivia tilts her head in confusion, "What are you talking about?"

"I finally got the courage to ask out Kyle, but he rejected me because he likes you. Why are you being such a slut."

Olivia tears up, "What do you mean? I don't even talk to Kyle. I would never do that to you."

Amy growls, "You're a liar. I thought you were my friend."

Olivia goes to place a hand on Amy's shoulder, but she steps back. Olivia is sobbing at this point. Damien, Rin, and Mike come up at this point to find out what is happening.

Amy sneers at the guys, "Do you know how big of a slut your little girlfriend is?"

Mike angrily says, "What are you talking about? Olivia is not a slut."

Amy frowns at Mike, "She has you under her spell too."

Amy walks away leaving a sobbing Olivia. Mike runs after her to try and find out what is going on. Damien and Rin try to console Olivia. In between sobs Olivia tells them what Amy said. They both want to find Kyle and beat the crap out of him but instead stay with Olivia to console her. The three skip first period and go hide out in the field behind the bleachers. Damien had mind linked the principal to cover for them.

After Olivia was calmed down, she made a couple decisions. One is she will do her best to clear everything up with Amy. She doesn't even talk to Kyle, so she is so confused on that. Two is she is going to give each male a date. She is determined to decide by next week. She feels awful about this situation.

Olivia takes a deep breath, "Guys, I know I need to decide soon. This isn't fair to either of you. I appreciate your patience with me, but this has gone on long enough. I want a date with each of you and from there I will make my decision."

Damien says, "I don't want you to feel pressured into a decision. We are fine giving you the time you need."

Rin adds, "He's right. Don't force yourself."

Olivia gives them a half smile, "You both are sweet, but I really do want to decide. I think going on a date with each of you will help. So, this Saturday I will go out on a date with Damien and next Saturday will be Rin's turn."

Both males agree to this. Even though they don't want to push her, they are both super excited at the thought of a date with her. The second period bell rang so the three went back inside to attend their classes.

Amy avoids Olivia all day. Mike tries hard to get them to reconcile but his efforts are fruitless. At lunch Olivia confronts Kyle.

She walks up to him, "Kyle, Can we talk?"

Kyle smiles and nods. They two go to a table alone so not to be interrupted. Damien and Rin sat at their usual table with Mike. The two Alphas glaring holes into Kyle. They understand what Olivia is doing but they don't have to like it.

Olivia sighs, "Amy was at my locker this morning. She was upset and said you rejected her because of me. I don't understand. We don't even talk."

Kyle blushes, "I have always thought you were beautiful. I just didn't have the courage to tell you."

She nods, "I am flattered but I cannot reciprocate those feelings. I'm so sorry."

He gives her a sad smile, "I know. You have two guys glaring at me now. But I still can't accept Amy's feelings. I don't feel the same about her. She's nice and all but I just can't."

She returns his sad smile, "I understand. I hope you find someone you can give your heart to and they give it back."

He nods, "Thank you for being nice about this and I'm sorry about the Amy thing."

Olivia shakes her head, "Don't be sorry. You can't help your feelings."

Kyle nods and then goes back to his table while Olivia goes to her usual table. Damien pulls her into the seat next to him and hugs her. She doesn't know how but she will make up with Amy.

As for the two Alphas, she will give them each a chance and figure out who she wants to be with.
