I went to Haden's office because I was planning on surprising her with something quite big.
I opened the door and gave her a charming smile.
"What do you want?" She said not even sparing a glance at me.
"Is that the way you treat me now?" I asked her.
"I am not joking." She said seriously.
"I am sorry, what is going on?" I asked her.
"Nothing." She said but I didn't buy that.
"I have a surprise for you." I said.
"What is it?" She asked me.
"I cannot tell you all about it now but I can at least tell you to pack your bags for a summer vacation." I told her.
She looked excited but then her arms dropped.
I have work she said glancing at the computer.
"I may have taken care of that." I said.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"I mean that you don't have to worry about that." I said looking at the computer.
"You know that you can't just do whatever plan you have without consulting my approval?" I said raising an eyebrow.
I wasn't expecting that. I dropped my shoulders a bit in surrender.
"Can you please go on vacation with me?" I asked feeling stupid.
"Fine." She said handing me her purse. "The door is not going to open by itself." She said. I cleared my throat and opened the door.
The woman has been brainwashed by her friend more than I thought.
