"Attention one, Attention all! Queen Kocho of Kimana has arrived!" announced the guards. There emerged a white figure shorter than Queen Mercuria, probably around 6ft. Instead, Kocho had blonde curly hair, she smiled sweetly. She had orange, white, and gold wings. They sparkled against the light, her white dress was long and extravagant. Nearly the perfect polar opposite of Queen Mercuria, except she didn't have the royal butterfly marks since she was the second born.
"Hello people of Emo and Kimana, it's an honor for me to be invited to the Moth Moon Ball. I brought a gift to give to my older sister Queen Mercuria. Let's hope for new beginnings and a peaceful life as we start today." She exclaimed. Everyone looked at Kocho in awe, maybe things were going to work out.
"Thank you my dear younger sister, I will accept this gift graciously." Queen Mercuria said taking the gift, but not opening it yet. "I'll open this later, for the night is still young. I commence this ball to begin!" The musicians started to play classical pieces inviting people to the dance floor.
People of Kimana and Emo started to slow dance together, it felt as if peace was restored. Queen Mercuria sat with Queen Kocho possibly catching up on old times and talking things out about the peace treaty, except something felt off with Queen Kocho. She seemed too excited to be in the presence of Queen Mercuria. It could be that she missed her older sister, like how Lunar missed hers.
"Andy, would you care to dance with me?" Steven and Susan said. They both glared at each other, I wasn't sure on what to do. Until an idea came to mind, I grabbed my lucky coin out of my pocket.
"Susan, heads or tails?" I asked. Lunar grabbed the coins out of my hand before Susan could respond.
"What the heck?" I asked.
"Andy, we really need to let this coin thing rest. I love you girl, but you need to start deciding what's best for you." She said.
"If she's not comfortable with making decisions just let her coin flip," Susan argued.
"I guess Lunar is right, but I don't really know how to waltz," I admitted. "Why don't we grab some food instead."
"Yeah I'm down with that, Susan can dance with Lunar since she wants to dance so badly," Steven replied.
"That's a good idea! Susan, you can dance with Lunar, maybe when we get home you can teach me how to waltz?" I asked. Susan looked defeated for a quick second until she masked it, by grabbing Lunar's hand and taking her to the dance floor.
We walked to the food table, where other people from Emo and Kimana were talking. In the corner of my eye, I could see Queen Mercuria and Kocho talking. I swear I saw a glint of evil coming from Kocho's eyes. I shook it off when Steven shoved a piece of cake in my mouth.
"Mmm! This one is really good. What flavor is it?" I asked.
"It's apple cinnamon, all these desserts are good. Except, they can't compete with your homemade pop tarts." He said, still feeding me more desserts.
"Really? It took me forever to perfect the recipe. I'll make you some when we get back to our dorms."
"I noticed you were staring at Queen Kocho a lot."
"Oh, I don't know something feels off with her, but then again we never met a butterfly alien before."
"Mhm, you're right about that, however, something's strange about how she's pestering Queen Mercuria to open her gift."
"Maybe she's just excited to see her reaction?"
"I hope so," he stared more intently at the gift box. We watched as Queen Mercuria finally opened Queen Kocho's gift.
