the new guy and the order

Note from the author: I fucked up on this episode, bc this one is supposed to be about a Friday, and the guys filming a car video but I think they film them on Thursdays so we're gonna play delulu and pretend it's Thursday, even tho if you count them, it's Friday, thanks bye love y'all

We come back to Matteo's POV.

"I'm not ignoring him Lola, but things are really confusing, I don't understand what he wants and neither what I want, so everything is like really weird, but at the same time he's playing it kinda cool, you know?" 

We talked for a bit and then I had to pay attention to the class.

I couldn't stop thinking about Nick and everything that happened these last couple of days.

I really like him, but I'm not sure if he likes me, and I was so focused on not making everything romantic, I really thought that was the move, but sometimes I feel like he's flirting with me in like a really slight way.

I feel like I only like him because he's the only person I know, that's why I thought about meeting other people.

I've seen people here who I could talk to and maybe like, maybe I should try.

I waited for recess and approached a group of people who were excitedly talking about something.

"Hey guys," I said, I don't even know how I did that. "I'm Matteo, I started uni a couple of days ago, and I was thinking maybe we could like hang out here, on recess and stuff, since I don't know anyone and you guys seemed nice"

"Hey Matteo, yeah sure" one of the guys said and opened the circle to invite me in.

Other of the guys looked at me, like trying to figure something out, and then he said "Weren't you friends with Jack?" "Oh yeah" I said. 

"What happened? I haven't seen you guys talk in a while" he added. "Yeah, nothing bad, he just got the wrong vibe from me" I replied. I like this guy, he could be my next crush.

"Sorry if I sound like I stalk you, it's just that he's my ex and sometimes I pay a little too much attention to what he does". Yeah no, I'm not getting there, let's just not.

"Cool" I said. I tried to make a conversation and at some point something came up and we talked until we had to go back to our classes.

Note from the author: I have little to no idea how universities work (I'm 17 so still at hs) so sorry if that's not accurate lol.

The day went by very boring, and when I went back home I got a text and a follow on my Instagram.

Some dude named Alan started following me on Instagram and also texted me.

"Hey Matteo, I'm a friend of the guys you talked to today, but I wasn't there, I got sick yesterday so I'm probably not going back to uni for some days, but I didn't want to miss my opportunity to meet you" weirdly long text but sure.

"Hi, I'm sorry about that, hopefully you'll get better soon" I replied, and that led to an hour and a half long convo about random topics.

At some point the conversation was over and now I was just scrolling on TikTok.

At least until now, I really like this guy, he might be the one to help me forget about Nick.

I heard a knock and answered to come in.

It was Matt.

"Yo Matteo," he said, opening the door and leaning on the door frame. "We're filming a car video today, it's Thursday, d'ya wanna be in it?" he asked.

"Um, not really, I'm a bit tired and I got lots of hate on the last video, it's better if you guys keep it like always, I'll wait for you guys here"

Thirty minutes went by and I went downstairs, looking for something to do.

Suddenly, I got a call from Nick.

"Hey, is everything alright?" I said after I picked up the phone. "Yeah we're about to order something at MacDonald's, do you want anything?"

We started talking and laughing because I was telling them what I wanted but Chris kept interrupting me with weird noises.

So I started making even weirder noises to annoy him and we just started laughing.

"Are you done, Chris?" I didn't hear anything from the other line, so I started saying my order again. "Ok, then I want a cheeseburger with a-" "AAAHGG" Chris interrupted me again. I could hear them all laughing, and so was I.

"Omg, it's our turn to order" I heard Nick say. "Sorry, um we want..." Nick ordered everyone's stuff and then put me out of the window and made me tell the poor girl who could barely hear me my order. At least they brought my food after that.
