New Ghoulette

Chapter 2

It was about 1:25 a.m. when we finished the movie Swiss put on. We were all tired. One by one, the ghouls started to return to their designated rooms, except for other ghoulettes.

"C'mon Sleepy!" Sunshine exclaimed as the other two ghoulettes grabbed my arms, basically dragging me to Cirrus' room. The girls giggled as they closed the door behind them. We all sat down together on the large fluffy rug in the center of the room. Cumulus took off all of our masks and placed them on Cirrus' bed. Cirrus brought out her stash of makeup and sat down next to me. They giggled and Cumulus said, "Alright Sleepy, hold still!" All three ghoulettes took out makeup brushes and started to apply different makeup to my face. It took them about thirty minutes to finish applying the makeup. I looked in the mirror, my eyes widened as I saw my reflection. My tail flicked as I observed my reflection. I noticed the girls' reflection behind me, they were grinning from ear to ear as their tails swayed. "So what do you think?" Cirrus said with a smile.

It took me a few moments to respond, still admiring the makeup. "I like it." I quietly said, my tail swaying. The ghoulettes giggled, and then Sunshine spoke up, "Your voice is adorable!" I remained quiet, not knowing how to respond to that, the girls just laughed. Fifteen minutes later, Cirrus brought out some blankets and pillows for us. We all got comfortable on the large rug and eventually fell asleep.

An alarm started blaring near my ears. I slowly started to awaken, sitting up and letting out a yawn. I looked over to where I heard the alarm, I saw it was Cirrus' alarm clock and noticed that the red numbers showed 7:15 A.M. The other ghoulettes stirred awake as Cirrus smacked the top of her alarm clock.

    Sunshine grabbed my mask and handed it to me, smiling. We all put our masks on and left Cirrus' room. Cumulus grabbed my hand, guiding me to the common room where she told me that we were going to all walk together to the mess hall. Cumulus continued to hold my hand, still guiding me around. We entered the common room, the other ghouls were already sitting on the couches, waiting for us. The ghoulettes stopped for a few minutes, talking with the ghouls. I stood next to Sunny, looking at the ghouls, then I felt someone watching me. I looked near the doorway to the dormitories, and I saw him. His fiery-orange eyes burned into the back of my head, as I returned my attention to the other ghouls.

    They decided to finally go to the mess hall, Cumulus took my hand once again still leading me. Once we got to the mess hall, we went to our designated table and took our seats. Some of the Siblings of Sin brought trays of food over to the table, placing it in front of us. We started to dig in, then I would ask Cumulus a question. "Hey, Cumulus, I have a question," I said quietly. "Hm? Oh- go ahead, hun!" Cumulus responded. I nodded, then said while pointing at the ghoul with white horns, "Who's that?" Cumulus looked over to who I was pointing at, she looked at me and quietly said, "You don't need to worry about him," with a small smile. I simply nodded and picked at my food, occasionally looking at the ghoul.

We finished our meals, then Cirrus informed me that they were going to have band practice. They all got up and left me in the mess hall. The ghoul with the white horns stayed for a moment, then he left with the others.

    I looked around at the now almost empty mess hall, confused about what to do. Just then, Papa walked over to me and said with a smile, "Dear ghoulette, will you accompany me in some of my chores?" I nodded, finally having something to do. Papa led me to his office and handed me some books. He gave me the instructions to head down to the library and put them away for him. Papa gave me the directions, and I started my task right away. I followed Papa's exact directions, but still somehow got lost. I heard people talking, so I followed their voices hoping to find the library. I eventually found who was talking, it was a group of Siblings of Sin. They were whispering and laughing about something along the lines, "Did you see that new ghoulette? Is she even a ghoul?" They were questioning if I was a real ghoul. A quiet gasp escaped my mouth as I heard them. My tail wrapped around my leg, almost dropping the small stack of books. I would quickly jog away, getting lost in the long hallways of the ministry. I got so lost that I surprisingly found my way to the library. I quickly opened the door and went to the different rows, putting books in their spots.
