It had already been a week since Rain and I had crossed paths with Sodo and had an unpleasant encounter with him. I couldn't help but vividly recall the way he stormed off in anger. It made me wonder what had made him that upset. Rain had already apologized for bumping into him, so it couldn't be the reason for Sodo's behavior. I tried to remember if there was anything else that could have triggered his rage, but I drew a blank. It was a mystery to me, and I couldn't stop thinking about it.
As I glanced at the clock, I realized it was already 10:30 p.m, and I sat back into the plush cushions of my armchair in my newly furnished room. I couldn't help but admire the beautifully painted walls, which had a gentle, soothing grey hue with black accents that gave them a modern, refined look. The king-sized bed in the room was undoubtedly the centerpiece, with black sheets and an incredibly comfortable memory foam mattress that looked like it was designed for royalty. I felt a sense of tranquility wash over me as I gazed at the dresser, nightstand table, and shelves that were all crafted from rich, dark wood and stained black, giving them a luxurious, timeless feel. The combination of the various elements in the room created a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made me feel at home, and I couldn't wait to spend many "peaceful" nights in my newly furnished haven.
As fate would have it, my new room was located right next to the loudest ghoul in the building, Swiss. I had just settled into my cozy bed, ready to drift off to sleep when I was jolted awake by a series of loud, jarring noises emanating from Swiss' room. I tried my best to block out the noise, but it seemed like an impossible task. Suddenly, amidst the clamor, I heard something that sounded like moaning. I paused for a moment, confused and unsure if I had heard correctly. But, as the noise continued, I realized that it was indeed moaning coming from Swiss' room. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on in there, and my mind raced with all kinds of possibilities.
After a few minutes of enduring the noises coming from Swiss' room, I decided that I couldn't take it anymore. I got out of bed, determined to put an end to the commotion. I hesitated for a moment before making my way to Swiss' door and knocking on it firmly. When there was no response, I knocked again, louder this time. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Swiss opened the door slightly, and I was greeted by the unmistakable sound of heavy breathing and moaning. My face turned red with embarrassment as I tried to avert my gaze, but it was too late. Swiss looked at me with a slightly annoyed expression and said, "If you need something, make it quick. I'm kind of busy right now." His words only served to deepen my embarrassment, and I quickly muttered an apology before scurrying back to my room, feeling humiliated and flustered.
After locking my door behind me, I retreated to the safety of my bed, hiding under the covers as I processed the events of the night. As soon as I closed my eyes, my mind was flooded with images of Swiss' bare body, and my cheeks burned with embarrassment. I knew I needed to distract myself, so I got up and headed to the kitchen to get a glass of cold water.
When I arrived in the kitchen, I grabbed a glass and went over to the fridge to get some ice cubes. As I turned around to fill the glass, I was startled to see Sodo standing in front of me, his fiery-orange eyes fixed on me. I froze, feeling my tail curl around my leg as I tried to avoid his gaze. I hoped he hadn't noticed the red tint on my face as he walked over to me, studying me up and down. I couldn't help but feel on edge as he approached, my instincts kicking in as I prepared to defend myself if necessary.
I felt a sudden jolt of fear as the ghoul brought his clawed hand dangerously close to my face. My mind raced as I tried to anticipate his next move, but before I could react, my fight or flight instincts took over and I chose to flee the situation. I clutched onto my cup of ice and ran to my room as fast as I could, my heart pounding with adrenaline. I could feel his presence trailing behind me, urging me to stop and turn back, but I knew I had to keep moving. Once I made it to my room, I locked the door behind me, making sure to double-check it for added safety. Finally, I allowed myself a moment of respite, sinking into my armchair and taking a deep breath. I brought the cup of ice up to my mouth and savored the coolness of the melting cubes as they calmed my nerves.

With the ice cubes now finished, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. The cool water had helped to soothe my parched throat, and the refreshing feeling lingered long after I had finished drinking it. I made my way back to my bed and slipped under the covers, feeling the soft sheets against my skin and the warmth they provided.
I was grateful that Swiss and whoever was with him had finally finished, as their noise had been disturbing my peace for what felt like hours. Now, the only sound was the gentle hum of my air conditioning unit. I took a few deep breaths, inhaling the fresh, cool air and exhaling any remaining tension from my body. Despite feeling relaxed, it still took me a little while to fall asleep. I lay there, listening to my breaths, feeling my chest rise and fall with each inhale and exhale. Eventually, though, I drifted off into a deep, restful sleep, my mind finally at peace.

The sound of my alarm blared in my ears, jolting me awake. I rubbed my eyes and squinted at the bright red numbers on the clock beside my bed. 8:45 a.m My heart sank as I realized I had overslept.
I quickly threw off the covers and leaped out of bed, feeling a rush of panic wash over me. I knew I had a busy day ahead, and I couldn't afford to waste any more time. I stumbled over to my dresser, grabbed my uniform and mask, quickly getting dressed. As I rushed around my room, grabbing my phone that the ministry had provided, I cursed under my breath. How could I have overslept? I knew I should have set a backup alarm, but now it was too late. I had to make up for lost time.
I was in a hurry to reach Papa's office. I quickly left my room, making sure to close the door behind me. As I jogged to the common room, my heart sank as I found it empty. I had hoped to find someone who could guide me to Papa's office. Frustrated, I muttered to myself, "Do I really have to be in these confusing hallways alone?" I knew I wasn't good with directions, but I had no choice but to take random turns and hope for the best.
As I walked through the maze-like hallways, my frustration increased. It felt like I had been walking for hours, and I still hadn't found Papa's office. Just as I was about to give up, I saw a plaque with 'Papa Emeritus IV' engraved on it. Seeing that plaque brought a wave of relief over me.
I quickly knocked on the door of Papa's office, but there was no response. I knocked again, but still no answer. I scolded myself mentally for being late and wondered where everyone was. I decided to head towards the mess hall, hoping to find someone who could give me directions.
But, as expected, I got lost again. I found myself at the ministry's library, and for a moment, I considered giving up on my quest. However, I took a deep breath and thought, "Maybe someone here can help me." I quietly opened the door and slipped into the room, walking over to the receptionist. "Excuse me?" I said softly. The receptionist looked up from their book with an annoyed expression. "Can I help you?" they asked.
I asked if they knew where Papa was, hoping they could help me. After a moment of thought, they told me he was in the rehearsal room and gave me directions. I thanked the receptionist and quickly made my way there, closing the door quietly behind me.
