During the first three weeks of assisting Sister Imperator, everything went smoothly and I quickly got into the rhythm of things. However, as the fourth week began, I noticed a shift in the air. Sister's normally calm demeanor became increasingly demanding and she began to micromanage my every move.

I found myself starting to get annoyed with her constant requests and nagging. "Sleepy, do this. Sleepy, do that," I muttered under my breath, mocking her voice. It felt like I had no time to myself anymore, as Sister always seemed to be asking for something.

One night, I was working particularly late and I checked the large clock in Sister's office. It read 1:45 A.M. I was exhausted and ready to go to my room, but Sister was still going on about something. I tried my best to listen, but my mind was wandering and I was barely paying attention. That's when she snapped her fingers, breaking my train of thought. "Sleepy, pay attention!" she scolded. Her words made me feel like a child being reprimanded and I had to bite my tongue to stop myself from snapping back.

Finally, Sister seemed to realize that I was too tired to continue and said, "We will pick this back up tomorrow morning." I sighed with relief and said goodnight as I quickly made my way to the Ghoul's Wing, eager to crawl into my comfortable bed.

With exhaustion weighing heavily on my limbs, I finally reached my room, grateful for the peace and quiet it offered. As I turned the key and pushed the door open, I was greeted by a dimly lit space, the warm glow of a lamp casting a soft golden light on the walls.

I kicked off my shoes and flopped onto the bed, sinking into the softness of the mattress. I was so drained from the day's events that I didn't even bother to remove my mask, which had been firmly attached to my face all day long.

As I closed my eyes and let out a deep sigh, I felt my body relax, the weight of the day lifting off my shoulders. For a moment, everything was still and quiet, and I basked in the tranquility of the moment.

But the calm was short-lived. The sound of my alarm jolted me awake, and I sat up in bed, rubbing my eyes. My head was pounding, and my ears were ringing, the sudden noise exacerbating the pain. I tried to steady my breathing, but the throbbing in my temples made it difficult to focus. Clutching my head, I laid back down, hoping that a few more minutes of rest would alleviate the pain.

I woke up to a throbbing pain in my head that felt like it had been going on for hours. I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep, but the pain only intensified. Suddenly, there was a firm knock on my door.

"Who is it?" I called out weakly, still lying in bed. "It's Sister Imperator. Why are you still in bed and not in my office?" she replied sternly. I let out a groan and said, "My head really hurts."

"Can you unlock the door?" she demanded, sounding somewhat annoyed. I slowly got out of bed, walking over to the door and unlocking it as I continued to clutch my head. Sister slowly opened the door and said, "Go sit on the bed." I slowly nodded and went over to my bed.

Sister Imperator took off my mask and brought the back of her hand up to my forehead. "Hmm, you're a bit warm. I'll bring you some Ibuprofen," she said while walking towards the door. I heard the door to the Ghoul's Wing open then close which meant Sister had left. I laid back down, pulling the sheets up to my chin, waiting for her to come back.

The pain in my head continued to throb, and I couldn't help but wonder what was causing it. I closed my eyes and tried to relax, but every movement felt like a hammer pounding in my head. After a few minutes, Sister Imperator returned with a glass of water and some Ibuprofen. She handed them to me and said, "Take this and try to get some rest."

I took the pills with a sip of water and lay back down in bed, hoping that the pain would subside soon. Sister Imperator stood by my bed for a moment longer before finally leaving the room. I closed my eyes, feeling the coolness of the sheets against my skin and the weight of exhaustion settling over me.

As soon as I woke up, I slowly turned my head towards my bedside table to check the time. It was exactly 1 p.m. I took a deep breath and tried to sit up, but the throbbing pain in my head made me wince. I slowly reached for my glass of water and took a sip.

After a few moments, I looked over at the mirror on my dresser. As I gazed at my reflection, I noticed something strange. My skin, which is usually a light shade of grey, now appeared to be darker than usual. I leaned in closer to the mirror, trying to see if it was just my eyes playing tricks on me, but the dark grey tint was still there. I couldn't help but wonder what could be causing this sudden change in my complexion.
