Can had taken the next hour to try and explain to Tarkan the relationship he had with Metin. "Son, Metin Akif and I grew up together. We lived together at boarding school, we were best friends...no we were brothers. But that was when we were kids."

Tarkan listened, " So uncle Akif knows Mr. Aksoy too. He had told me about another friend that you two had, one that was very special. But he would never tell me who it was." He said, shaking his head. " What happened dad.....I just want to know what happened."

Can stared at the ground, " I let my pride and the bad feelings that I had for my mother come between Metin and I. It was a business deal, and I didn't handle it in a business way. I made it personal, by not respecting Metin as a person or a lawyer." He explained, as that old feeling of regret begin to stir inside him.

" But there were other things that happened as well. Personal things that I don't want to talk about at this time." He added, unwilling to relive that time in their life...

Tarkan stood, " So like I said, all of that has nothing to do with us. I plan on talking to Mr. Aksoy tomorrow, and I hope he will willing to listen. Unless, you can settle your differences with him yourself." He spouted with confidence.

Can watched as his son stormed off. He knew he was right. All of this had nothing to do with Tarkan or Alara. It would be up to him and Metin to fix.

Metin hadn't slept at all. He relived all the times that been good in his life, and most of them involved Can Divit in some way. Their relationship was so much more than business, and that's what hurt the most when Can fired him from being the agency's attorney.

But Metin had done the most damage to their relationship himself. He had never really been in love with Sanem....he only did it to hurt Can. He tried to show Sanem the kind of person that he thought Can had become.

He wasn't sure if Can would or could forgive him for that. Metin couldn't even forgive himself.  But he knew if he didn't try, he would lose his only daughter for good.

It was early in the morning when Sanem found Can still sitting in the garden, " Can, have you been up all night? Have you decided what you're going to do?" She asked, handing him a cup of tea.

He smiled, " I have no other choice. I have to talk to Metin. It's something that I should have done a long time ago. But how did we know this would happen." He told her.

" But first I need to call Akif. To let him know what's going on." He said, reaching for his phone.  The call to his friend was exactly what Can needed. Akif couldn't have been happier that Can was finally taking the first step in mending the friendship.

Metin slowly opened the door of his daughter bedroom and peeked in. She was finally sleeping, so he watched for a moment. She had always been the perfect daughter, always done what was right. Maybe Tarkan was right for her too.

His mind was full of thoughts, Tarkan Divit had been produced from two of the best individuals he had ever known, so maybe he was the best person for his daughter. He needed to give him a chance.

Melike meet him in the hallway, " Everything will be fine. What are you going to do." She asked. " I'm headed over to see Can now. It's the only thing I can do." He whispered, as he hugged his wife tightly.

She sighed, " I'm glad you're doing this now. This all needs to be over with. I know you have wanted this for a long time." She said. He nodded, " You're right, but what do I do if he doesn't welcome me into his home?" Metin asked, his voice sounding desperate.

" That won't happen my love. I'm sure of it. Just stay calm and it will be fine. Just remember, he is your family." Melike said, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Metin grabbed his keys and headed out. He drove that short distance out of town, as he let his mind remember all the times they spent together. How many promises they had made each other over the years.

He turned his car up the long driveway to the front of Cans house. Can's car was still there so he must be home, he thought, as he opened the car door and stepped out. He took a deep breath, " Yes, this is the right thing to do. This is what I want." He muttered out loud.

Akif was happier than either of them when Can told him it was time for him and Metin to talk. " I agree Abi. It's time for you both to put this behind you. You both want this." He told his friend, wishing that he could have been there with them.

Can wondered if Metin would even be willing to listen to him. But he had to try. He held Sanem close to him, " You know, it's funny that it took our son to show me what I needed to do. I think our children are smarter than we are." He said, with a laugh.

Sanem stroked his face, " You're doing the right thing Can, and I'm proud of you." She whispered, kissing him gently on the lips.

Metin made his way to the front door, just as he raised his hand to knock the door swung open. He stood there face to face with Can.

"Metin, I...I was just on my way to see you. But here you are." Can stammered. Metin smiled, "You were. Yes, I'm here. I was just thinking, do you remember the time that we snuck out of school and went to the basketball game. And Akif got sick on some bad food. Remember how you took care of him? And how you took the blame for it, even though it was my idea to go." He uttered, shifting his feet nervously.

" Yes, I do. I think I remember every dumb thing we did." He replied with a laugh, stepping back and motioning for Metin to come in. " Have you had your coffee yet?  Let's have another cup and talk." He told him.

Sanem was still in the kitchen when she heard the voices in the other room. She recognized Metins voice Immediately. She smiled, " Metin...it's Metin. He came."  She thought.

Can and Metin walked in, " Babe, can you pour us a cup of coffee. I think we have a lot to talk about." Can said, giving her a hug.

Metin nodded, " Good morning Sanem. I hope this isn't too early for visitors.

She handed him a cup of coffee, " Well it might be for a visitor....But not for family Metin....so welcome...
