Another Kind Of Promise

Chapter Thirty Five

      There was only one thing that the Divits and the Aksoys had asked of Tarkan and Alara...And that was to finish their schooling before becoming husband and wife.

      They both agreed. They knew that waiting was in their best interest. Alara had only eight months left of her second year at the academy. That would give her that prestigious certificate of  Design and Fashion that she would need to follow her dreams.

      Tarkan would be finishing the first year of HEC Business School and looking forward to continuing his second year of studies. He had already been approached by several companies to do his apprenticeship with them,...now it would just be deciding which one.

      The future of Tarkan and Alara laid strictly in the hands of this couple. They knew what they wanted and they were not afraid to go after it. They wanted it all.....

Nine months later....

         Tarkan and Alara had both planned their future and their careers in France. With Alara starting her design and fashion venture with one of the top fashion houses in Paris, and Tarkan beginning his business career with a major company there as well.

      The wait had been long, and at times, a difficult one...but Sanem and Melike, along with the help of Alara, had put together the most beautiful union celebration of the year.  One that drew much attention in Istanbul. 

     The day had finally come, the union of Tarkan Divit and Alara Aksoy. So much joy and happiness, and so much forgiveness, had brought these two families back together....

      Can, Sanem, Metin and Melike stood together as one family, watching their children become an extension of their lives. Proud beyond belief of the love between this couple, they knew this had been the reason for their promise so many years ago...

The love of being brothers, the love of being family and the promise of always remembering just that. 

Can, Metin and Akif.....they had kept that vow of......Another Kind of Promise..

Tarkan and Alara Divit had done what some people believed to be impossible. They had mended a broken and forgotten relationship between their fathers.....

A relationship that would continue for the rest of their lives..

Can and Metin resumed their lives as if nothing had happened, both closer than ever. They worked together and spent time as a family, just as they had promised each other when they were young.

The lives of Tarkan and Alara followed along the same lines as their parents. Their love was unstoppable, true and grew stronger with every day that passed. 

They brought more joy to the lives of Can and Sanem, and Metin and Melike with the birth of twins, one boy and one girl, five years after their union.....

Nothing could have prepared Can and Sanem for the happiness they were feeling. The joy of being grandparents was far more powerful than anything they could have imagined....

As a boy....Can found two friends that made his life bearable.....

As a man, Can found a woman that filled his life with love and desire....

As a father, Can loved and devoted his life to Tarkan and Emina...

All of these people had been the reason for Can Divit's happiness.....His peace of mind.....His worth....

Can and Sanem Divit had a perfect life..... a life of love, a life of content, a life that had been brought together with promises.......

And a life that would always be....full of love.....
