[14] Rehabilitation Training

I stirred awake and slowly looked around to take in my surroundings, I could already tell I was in the butterfly estate... The design gave it away.

I groaned and sat up, I noticed the bandages all around my body, covering many wounds that I sustained in my fight against upper moon 2. After a bit of sitting I slowly stood up, testing how my legs worked, needless to say it hurt bad when I stood, it felt like my entire body would collapse then and there.

The door suddenly swung open to reveal Shinobu with medicine in her hands. As she saw me standing, she dropped her medicine and rushed at me.

'she's gonna beat the shit out of me for standing whilst still this injured... Isn't she?' I wondered to myself as I calmly closed my eyes and prepared for impact...

... But the impact never came, instead I felt her arms warp around me as she buried her face into my chest. I stared at her with pure shock, what was she doing? I didn't know

"you idiot! Why would you fight against an upper moon as recklessly as you did?! You could have been killed!" Shinobu shouted whilst holding me close

I sighed and decided to return the geisture

"you know I was fighting the upper moon 2 to protect your sis-" I began, but before I could finish, Shinobu Continued yelling at me

"that's not what i meant! Why didn't you stall for time? Kanae told me that you fought that upper moon 2 without making any attempts to stall for time... You could have made him chase you or distract him!" Shinobu shouted, though, I already knew she just said this because she was upset, deep down she herself knew that I did my best to stall for time, but I was fighting an upper moon... And one of the highest ones, so he's too smart to be tricked

After a bit of holding me, Shinobu let got and did what I expected her to do sooner, she punched me in the gut, making me fall back down on the bed

"and don't you dare stand up until you're fully healed!" Shinobu shouted and left to get me some medicine, since she dropped the medicine she carried

I shrugged off the pain and closed my eyes, falling asleep like usual.

For the next two weeks all I did was lay in bed, sleep,  eat and talk to Shinobu or Kanae who would visit my room when they had the time. Sometimes Kanao would enter my room out of curiosity, maybe even concern, in those rare moments she wouldn't talk, I'd be the one to talk, I'd encourage her to try and act independent and stuff... I'd sometimes pat her head, she was too cute is all, she'd usually respond with a slight blush which I found even more cute.

Alas, my nightmarish day came... The day I had to start rehabilitation training

Kanae was humming cheerefully whilst dragging me by the collar to the room where my rehabilitation training starts, long story short, I refused to go and Shinobu tried to drag me out with Kanao, after they failed Kanae took me by the collar to forcefully drag me there

Upon arrival, I was surprised, I expected those 3 butterfly girls to take care of me, and Aoi... But then I remembered that it was too early in the storyline for them to show up, instead of them Shinobu, Kanao and Kanae where the only trio in the room

Kanae set me down near a a carpet on the ground

"we will start streatching you so you'd regain your agility and make sure your body is back to top shape" Kanae said cheerefully as she got behind me

Kanae put her arms on my back and I gulped, expecting a painful streatching session, but instead I felt Kanae gently pushing me back and streatching my sore body. Her arms where soft, and she made me feel so comforted when she helped me streatch
