Lahaina, Hawaii

Benchwarmer
"This you protégée?"

Flynn Lightenhouse
"Previously yours, commander."

Benchwarmer is a veteran. He served in World War One alongside Niko and Simon. However, he doesn't like them very much. He's a field doctor now.

Benchwarmer
"Yeah...thought I'd ask. Morning sunshine."

Niko gains consciousness, slowly sitting up.

Niko Valentine
"Three...gunshot wounds..."

Flynn Lightenhouse
"Consider yourself lucky," he turns to Benchwarmer, "what do we got on Haythem Steelhemor? You're my informant."

Benchwarmer
"Thought you knew the guy more than me, ha."

Flynn Lightenhouse
"I meant where's his safehouse? My notes have been...misplaced."

Benchwarmer
"How about you give me a minute and I'll check back with you."

Benchwarmer leaves.

Niko Valentine
"So...what happens now?"

Flynn Lightenhouse
"I have to travel back to Washington. I have to get my license reinstated for us to continue. If it gets accepted by the council, you and I will have full coverage in hunting Haythem and Raz Steelhemor. But...well...they might only allow the death of Haythem as he attacked you."

Niko Valentine
"Governments and their damn profits. Speed this along then."

Flynn Lightenhouse
"It's probably a good thing that I tell you that Stiles is planning on getting Simon to confess to the council about Raz and Haythem. I probably didn't explain it much before, but if Simon talks, the council will arrest him."

Niko Valentine
"That back-stabbing bastard."

Flynn Lightenhouse
"I can try to silence him as long as I can, but there's not a lot of people in Europe that can help."

Niko Valentine
"The only person that can stop Simon, is me. I'll have to go to Europe."

Flynn Lightenhouse
"Okay then...I'll be in Washington tomorrow. See you soon, Valentine."

Luxembourg

Simon awakens after a long period of bleeding. Something, for whatever reason, is keeping the Valentine brother alive. He decides to crawl over to the dead Germans to search their bodies for anything that might help pressurize his wound. He finds a rag with some sort of substance on it. When he applies pressure, it seems to help, and Simon is able to stand, but he can only limp to the mine's entrance.

Opening the doors, Simon is blinded by sunlight. It's been a full day, and Simon was down in the mine for a long...long time. Luxembourg Is different. Buildings, houses, roads and trees. Destroyed...completely. Limping takes a lot of energy, so Simon tries to prioritize it less as he can. He's able to successfully leave be trench behind, not looking back.

Before nearly passing out, the cry of the French resistance is heard in the distance, and they rush to Simon's aid. Once they get closer, they discover Simon's bullet wound to the stomach. River isn't with them, which confirms Elliet's story...for now. Simon's officially placed in medical care, and transported to a nearby military hospital.
