Yeah
We're beautiful, we're smart
There's nothing you can change
We're beautiful, we're smart
It might sound strange
Might as well get over it, just try to understand
We're beauty, we're brains. We're not the same
We're beauty, we're brains. Things must change
Education is our Goal. Please try and understand
We're strange and we like it... just the way we are.
Don't laugh I wrote this when I was in 3rd grade. It was a mixture of the "Buzz of Maggie" and "That's So Raven" theme songs. On the carpool van my sister and I were in a group with one other girl against another trio of girls on the van. We always had singing contests on the van and the oldest boy there, who we called Freddie, was to be the judge after taking input from the others on the van. (There were about 10-11 of us) No matter how much the oldest girl in the other trio tried to intimidate everyone else my group always won. That was because we actually have talent, (well had in my case) We wanted to perform this song in front of our school but our principle was a mean old man. Still those were the days.
