I’m not what you say I am.
Why do I have to be the sharpest knife in the box?
I know ya’ll aren’t stupid.
Why do I have to give the answer?
If you are just learning, why can’t I?
I will answer if the teacher asks wither or not if anyone knows what she is talking about.
But you don’t have to call me out.
What if I am as clueless as you are?
What are you to do if your grade was on the line?
What if I gave the wrong answer?
You will all hate me, right? Right!
You can answer your own question.
Don’t always ask me the answer.
I may love to read and I may love to learn. Just let me learn.
I’m not the Human Dictionary.
The last book I read the boy was a human dictionary and he died.
You know what book I’m talking about; most of you have read it.
When I say I may not be prepared for a test or that I don’t have my homework; don’t look surprised.
Half of you say I act like I’m perfect and you know it’s not true.
Yes, I have dictionary; and I may read it on my spare time. I
t’s just to learn something. One of you all should do it some time.
I don’t want to learn to make others feel stupid.
If I made you feel that way I’m sorry.
But then again some of you like to use my knowledge, for a game in class to earn points or to get out of doing the work yourself.
And there are those of you who like to complain about when a teacher praises me for good work as the only one in the class who does her work.
I didn’t ask for it, I just get it.
Yes, I say I read and the textbook can be right in front of me.
You think the teacher can’t see that?
If you have a problem with it, take it up with them not me. I’m not the one who said it.
Go ahead and get mad, but I’m not what you say I am.
My middle school classmates used to nag at me about grades and my behavior and stuff. It got me so irked to the point that I started to spite myself when it came to grades. It didn't do anything but ruin my gpa for no reason.
