"THE ROHAN, MY FRIENDS SON, HIS FAMLY HAD SENT THE MARRIAGE PROPOSAL FOR YOU."

The words my mother just said echoed in my ears, reverberating with surprise and intrigue.

Her statement seemed to hang in the air, leaving me momentarily stunned as I grappled with the unexpected turn of events.

My jaw practically hits the floor. I hadn't seen this coming at all, and the surprise leaves me momentarily speechless, trying to process the unexpected news.

"Ma, Are you fucking serious?" I asked

"Riti, mind your words, and yes I am serious." My mother told me with that suspicious kind of grin on her face.

I couldn't help but remember how he looked at me, the way our interactions sent tingles down my skin.

And now, with this unexpected marriage proposal, my emotions were a tangled mess. I thought to myself, "I am so messed up."

I have never ever thought about marrying someone but I knew this day will come for sure.

Lost in my thoughts about him and the surprising marriage proposal, I unintentionally ignored my mom as she excitedly mentioned, "His whole family is coming to meet you tomorrow." My mind was elsewhere, and the news caught me off guard once more.

I retreated to my room, unable to shake thoughts of him and the implications of this sudden marriage proposal from my mind.

My head was filled with a whirlwind of emotions and uncertainty as I pondered what the future might hold.

Rohan's pov

Every day, I woke up to the sound of my mother chanting about me getting married, and it seemed like my grandparents shared the same wish.

My younger siblings took every opportunity to tease me about it, while my father just grinned, amused by the ongoing family drama. It was a daily routine that I couldn't escape, a constant reminder of the marriage proposal and the expectations surrounding it.

As I sat down at the dining table to eat breakfast, a heavy silence hung in the air.

Then, my mother broke it with an unexpected announcement, "I've found a girl for you. She's the daughter of one of my friends." The news caught me off guard once again, and I couldn't help but wonder what new twist this would bring to the ongoing marriage discussions.

Then I exclaimed , " Ma, aapko maine kitni baar kaha hai mujhe shadi mai interest nahi hai, I am better alone."

"Tu ek baar is ladki k dekh le , tujhe ye ladki  pasand nahi aayi to mai tere liye ladki nahi dhundhungi , aur tujhe directly nahi jana hai usse milne ,wo ek doctor hai , papa ji ko lekar ja aur isi  bahana se dekh bhi lena." My mother told and I was stunned by her deeds.

Seeing the hope in her eyes, i agreed on taking dadu to hospital as well as to see the girl.

After breakfast and the unexpected discussion about the prospective marriage, I escorted my dadu to the car.

I instructed my driver to take us to The Desai Hospital.

The day was already proving to be eventful, and I had a feeling it was far from over.

Upon reaching the hospital, I accompanied my grandfather to the cabin of his doctor, who also happened to be the person I might soon be calling my wife.

My eyes landed on her, and I was utterly stunned by her beauty. It was as if time had momentarily stopped.

I couldn't help but notice her name embroidered on her apron, "Ritika Desai."

Her presence was so captivating that I found it difficult to take my eyes off her.

While she was busy examining my dadu, my thoughts wandered.

I couldn't help but wonder why someone so beautiful didn't seem to have that inner sparkle.

It felt like there was something hidden, something broken inside her soul that I couldn't quite put my finger on.

After she finished her examination and prescribed some tests and medicine for my grandfather, she looked at us with a warm smile. "Chai aur snacks kha ke jayega?" she offered, her voice carrying a hint of kindness that contrasted with the earlier air of professionalism.

It was a thoughtful gesture, and I couldn't help but accept, grateful for the chance to spend a little more time with this intriguing woman.

"Is baar rehne dijiye, agli baar jarur piyenge."
I said because I was getting late for my meeting that would cost me 500 million dollars if I lost it but "mujhe inse aur batain karni hai" I thought to myself.

As my driver came to escort me and Dada Ji, I turned back and said, "Mai Rohan, aur aap?" I acted as if I didn't know her, trying to engage in a playful charade despite being fully aware of who she was.

"Ritika, Ritika desai" she introduced herself with the feeling of nervousness and offered me to shake hand.

The moment I shake my hand her with her I just wanted to take her with me , I want her arms to wrap around me, I just want to make her mine.

It was as if my unexpected return and playful act had taken her by surprise, leaving her momentarily flustered.

"I like this effect on you , miss Desai."I thought to myself.
I left giving the playful smirk.

Back in my office, I found it impossible to focus on anything else.
She was the only thing on my mind, and every thought seemed to circle back to our encounter at the hospital.
Just as I was lost in my thoughts, my phone rang, taking me back to reality. It was my mother calling, likely with more updates on the marriage proposal.

When i received the call , she asked ,"kaisa laga beta?" Kal unke ghar jaye kya lunch mai?" " achi lagi na?"

I can't just say that I like her that I am stunned by that ravishing girl so I replied, " Ma , she is ok, we can go tomorrow." My whole family hooted behind the call and I cut the call to act unbothered.

I can't wait for tomorrow and I really hope that she says yes to this proposal.
