Chapter 5, A Betrothal And A Betrayel

Mean while in another universe...

"Danger captain!" Looking over the wave I saw a big ship, so big in fact that it cast a shadow greater than an eclipse "Bloody oath, do I spot a dengother?" I yelled to Adam "'parrantly so captain, she's a beauty"
"Are we too close to pull out?"
"Aye sir"
"Can we get Kelly on it?"
"'fraid not sir"
"Where is she?"
"She's testing 'it'"
"Great tell 'er to activate it big time, we can't win this one"
"Sorry sir"
He pulled his pistol and pressed it on my head
"But I'm afraid I'll have to take you prisoner"
"You bastard, how long've you been plannin' this one eh?
"You wouldn't believe it even if I told you"
"England or Price?"
"Price, can't stand the English"
"Listen pal, you better stop working for those pesky rats sooner or later"
"Last I checked they had way more advanced weaponry than us"
"Sorry buddy but I'm afraid I have to cut this one short" Kelly was holding a machete to his head
"Looks like somebody brought a knife to a gun fight" Adam looked behind him
"Now's yer chance Adam, your working for Price or us?" I looked at him in the eyes
"Got no choice do I? Fine, I'll stick with you" Adam quickly tried to gab Kelly's machete but she pulled her hand away
"Try anything like that again and it's game over" Kelly pointed her knife towards him, the rain polished her blade for her
"Come on boys, I got something show you two" she lead us to a room, I held my gun at Adam the entire time but dropped it when I saw 'it'
"Would'ja look at that, you actually got it working again" I looked at Kelly while she looked at Adam who was looking at me
"Well", she said diverting her focus, "It took a while but I think we can use it again, anywhere you want to go" she looked at me and smiled
"Anywhere but this floating ball of water, perhaps somewhere with land this time?" I hoped we'd get somewhere futuristic
"And abandon Price? Sorry but with all do respect I don't think I should stay here longe- oh no" we looked behind us and about twenty metres away a small crawler was making it's way towards us
"Could ya get it started soon please?" I said as casually as possible
"Ok get in" we got into the small chamber and Kelly started it up
"Deploying in ten" the creature was about thirteen metres away
"Nine" twelve
"Eight" ten
"Seven" nine
"Six" seven
"Five" six
"Four" five
"Three" three
"Two" one
"One" it jumped on me "Get off you bastard" I pushed it off and shot it in mid-air
"Go" there was a big rumble and a massive beacon went off shinning with a brilliant light, the old wooden room filled with cobwebs was disappearing and we ended up in the middle of a battle. A missile shot right past us and hit one of Price's mechs, they must've spent a fortune on them, the Americans where giving it their best when all of a sudden both forces stopped and stared at us. We had a Price insignia on us but we were human, confusing right? No one knew which side we were on so one of the humans walked over and shook a Price's hand and the humans walked over to this odd artefact. One of the oddly familiar ones looked at me "John?" "Darren"
"How did you get here? And why are you working with the aliens?"
"Well first of all, I got here by using this little artefact and second of all, the artefact is one of Price's" I could finally stop using my pirate accent
"Whose Price?"
"Look in front of you"
"Oh, wait those things are called Price?"
"That's the organisation, and apparently they lost one of their planets, good job Darren"
"They got it back"
"Oh, well, am I getting in the way of a battle?"
"Yep"
"Sorry gimme a sec, Kelly!?"
"Who are you yelling out to?"
"Crap, hey Darren?"
"Yes?"
"So right now Price is letting you form a temporary alliance right?"
"Apparently so"
"Good, can you get one of them over here please?"
"Ok, I'll try"
I slowly pulled myself out of the artefact, I saw the beautiful waterfalls hitting the rocks beneath. It was a beautiful valley to battle in, but now for all we know, soon it could be called Death Valley or something like that. Do I hear thumping?
"Hi human" a purple mech loomed over me
"Hi Price" I tried not to sound nervous
"Why did you...steal the...dimensional...warp drive?" The troop spoke with pauses between each word
"Not in this universe"
"Which one?"
"Theta 09354"
"Ok then...what can I...assist with?"
"I need this repaired"
"I'm afraid...that's...impossible"
"Why is it?"
"You must see...elder"
"Can you take me to him?"
"You might kill...him while you...are there"
"Do I look like I have any weapons?"
"We do not...know if you...have backup"
"Heavily guard the place, I need to fix this"
"Alright I'll...take you"
"Oh Darren?"
"Yes?" He was walking around us
"Could you carry the artefact please?" I looked at the massive double-bladed mech
"Sure thing"
We walked for hours until we reached their base, all of our army troops waited outside while we walked in. We saw the craziest thing we could ever see.

Darren's POV

There he was, alive and well walking down the steps with Sethra hand in hand, me and Alonzo realised, they were married.
