You followed behind the woman as she led you to a room separate from the others.
You could tell that she knew you were a demon by the fact that she didn't offer you any food.
Instead, she made you follow her through the house with a calm smile as she hummed quietly to herself.
Opening one of the doors, she stepped inside with you in tow. The room was empty of any furniture apart from a wardrobe and was completely void of windows, shrouding the space in darkness.
"Here you are dearie." The woman turned towards you and bowed. "I have left extra blankets and pillows in the cabinet for you."
It was like she knew everything about you.
"Please undress and change into this." She pulled a robe from behind her back, handing it off to you. "I'll wash your soiled clothes for you, just leave them outside the door."
With that, she was gone.
She was indeed a strange woman.
But her actions were kind, and that was enough for you.
Doing as the woman instructed, you began to peel the bloody layers from your body with a grimace. Unfortunately, your skin underneath was just as dirty.
