Keontae POV
The last time you heard from us Kaiyah and I had just brought Dynver home and Sarai had called me and told me to come get Heiress because she didn't want to be a single mother and that she wanted me to raise her. That was five years ago and so much has happened since then. Kaiyah and I have since gotten married and we've moved to the suburbs of Minneapolis called Brooklyn Park. I did indeed go and pick up Heiress that day and I haven't seen or heard from Sarai since then.
It's the first day of school year and I can hear my wife roaming around the house getting ready for the day. She's always been hella emotional but she has her two babies starting kindergarten today so she's extra emotional
Keontae: *Goes in the hallway* Good morning wifey
Kaiyah: Hey good morning baby
Keontae: You ready to go wake these kids up? They been terrorizing our house all summer they got to get up out of here
Kaiyah: Not too much on my kids now baby. But we going to each kid together or how we doing this ?
Keontae: let's go kid to kid
The two walk into Damirs room first
Kaiyah: Damir, it's time to get up! It's the first day of second grade
Damir: I don't want to wake up , it's too early
Keontae: This pay back for when you used to wake me and mommy up at the ass crack of dawn when you was younger
Damir: Why you come in here first ? Wake your little brats up. They was up giggling in the hall
Keontae: I told you I thought I heard they asses in the hall way. Well anyway son get up go brush them teeth and hit that water.
On to Heiress' room
Keontae: Reigny get up mamas, you got school today
Heiress: *shes our early bird, pops up* Goodmorning mommy and daddy. Oh yes I get to wear my new clothes and shoes *as she hops out the bed*
Kaiyah: Good morning baby girl, let's hope your sister gets up just as easy as you did. Babe can you go make sure your son is up? I'm going to go get Dynver up.
The two split in the hall
Keontae: Damir, get up man! Your sister got up with no problem. You've had more than five minutes. I'm going with mommy to wake Dynver up and you better not still be in the bed when I come back in here.
Keontae: *Goes in Dynver's room* Good morning, little mamas you ready to knock Kindergarten out?
Dynver: Yes daddy, do I have to stay there all day ?
Keontae: Yes Dynver you don't get to come and go when you want to like in daycare.
Dynver: But daddy what if I want to come home or what if Mommy misses me?
Keontae: Mommy is a big girl, I promise she will be just fine. But I think it's what if you miss mommy not what if mommy misses you.
Kaiyah: It'll go so fast princess, you'll be back home before you know it come on let's get up so I can do you and sissy's hair .
The kids get ready and Kaiyah is taking pictures of them. She must have took 100. I had to tell her to stop before the kids are late to school.
Kaiyah POV:
When we got to the school Damir asked for us not to take him into his classroom he wanted to go by himself and he seen the sign that said 2nd grade and was ready to go.
Kaiyah: *Sighs* Heiress and Dynver you ready ?
Keontae: Are you ready ? Is the real question
Kaiyah: No, how did my little babies get this big ? Where did the years go.
Dynver: Come on mommy before I change my mind about staying
Keontae: *laughs* OMG where did she come from ? If she didn't look just like you I'd swear they gave us the wrong baby at the hospital
We head to the girls class rooms
Kaiyah: *kneels down* Heiress this is your class, I want you to have the most amazing day. You're gonna do great. Mommy loves you a million. Go be great
Heiress: *Realizes that Dynver isn't coming with her* Why isn't Dynver coming ? She has to be a kindergarten too !
Kaiyah: she's in a different class princess, this is yours and she has to go to her own. Go ahead I love you
Heiress: I love you too mommy , Sissy I'll miss you
Dynver: *Hugs Heiress* I'll miss you too sissy
Heiress walks into her classroom and Keontae and I head to drop Dynver off. When we get to her room she runs away without saying bye to either of us once she sees all the bright colorful decorations her teacher has she was ready to go
Kaiyah: *looks at Keontae* you think they're gonna be okay? This is the first time they won't be together.
Keontae: I think they'll do just fine and when I get to work don't you dare try and come get them . They go to school to learn. Leave them until the day is over
Kaiyah: I promise I'll leave them. I'm going to meet my mom for lunch to keep them off my mind .
