Bonzy: *There was something old about Charlie's young face*

My Editor: "No fr- Charlie's a whole veteran that didn't wanna engage in the war Joey Drew waged"

=============
Charlie: "How long do you want to wait for Audrey?"

My Editor: "More like 'how long can Bonzy sit still for'?"

==============================

Luckily, they didn't have to wait very long for Audrey, as she quite literally teleported into the room in a blur of airy ink and reformed within seconds. She looked unsteady on her feet, but she still had the brightest smile on her face when her eyes fell upon the three sitting on the bench. It seemed that Audrey and Bendy had met before, Bonzy was a master at reading people you see- or it was the fact that Bendy shrunk into Charlie's arms as she took a few long strides to make it over to them, expression bleeding with relief. Her eyes fell upon the little cartoon and she looked apologetic as she connected with the little demon.

"I didn't mean to scare you like that before, I'm really sorry little guy. If you want to, can we be friends?" Now, Audrey had this magical power of smiling at someone and that person immediately wanted to be friends with her. Bonzy knows because they've witnessed this happen on many occasions (and perhaps experienced it first-hand themself), and it wasn't any different now. Bendy nodded, the smile on his face loose as he shook the delicate hand she offered. "Thank you, Bendy."

Then she spotted the body of the Lost One, half deformed, and sent a raised eyebrow at the three. Bonzy grinned.

"Charles became a knight in shinin' armor, just for us. Only minor aggravated murder." Audrey opened her mouth but quickly closed it afterward, shaking her head.

"Is everyone okay?" Charlie shrugged, so Bonzy nodded, resting their hands in between their legs on the bench.

"Just peaches n' cream, Miss Audrey. If only we could have a nap for a moment." Now that Audrey was here, Bonzy realized that sleep was quickly becoming an irritating demand. Luckily, Charlie had agreed with them and Audrey seemed like she was ready to clock out, too.

So, a nap was in order. Which really, Bonzy passed out with Baby Bendy leaning his cartoon head against their shoulder, arrow-tipped tail resting across their laps while Audrey sat on the bench next to them. Bonzy hadn't a clue if Charlie had actually slept or not, because when they were out, he was still awake. Oh well, they'll just assume he was the sort to sleep after everyone else was rested. What a gentleman , Bonzy thought as they closed their eyes and wrapped an arm around an already asleep Baby Bendy. They'd be in the same boat in a few seconds anyway.

After they got up, Audrey broke open the chains that held the door to the stairs leading downward shut, and they continued on. Audrey proved to be a relaxed and perked-up leader of the line as she made a steady way down the staircase, Bonzy behind her with the whistling toon on their shoulders, and Charlie bringing up the rear, pipe in hand.

It was this time, while Bendy was kicking their legs and Audrey and Bonzy conversed, yet again, about what they missed with one another, that Bonzy thought about Audrey's power. Clearly, teleportation was on the table for her, which was a pretty cool power. And as far as Bonzy knew, they could shoot sparks of light out of their fingers if they felt dangered enough (hopefully that could turn into an on-command sorta thing), but Bonzy hadn't seen Charlie show any signs of ability in their time together.

Maybe it's secretly lame and he's embarrassed by it, they theorized, or it's scary and dangerous, or he doesn't even HAVE one. Bonzy hopes to find out either way. Ahead of them, Bonzy hears Audrey chuckle fondly at their recounting of the imitation of ring-toss Bonzy and Bendy had come up with in their time together.
