Ep. 7: Butting Heads

It is early morning, a warm sunny day beaming over Beacon Academy. Within the dormitories, team CBLT's room is pin-drop silent, as all four members are sound asleep. At least, they are until each of their alarms go off at the same time.

Benny: "Haaaahhhh...gooood morning, GAMERS!"

The youngest of the four is the first to get up, and is already in the bathroom, getting ready for the day. The other three begin to follow, though not as energetic as Benny.

Lilian: "Mmm, it's finally the weekend..."

Tomoe: "It couldn't have arrived any slower..."

Corin sits up and stretches his arms, glancing out the window to see how the outside looks.

Corin: "Kinda regretting not changing my alarm to go off later."

He gets up from bed and heads to the bathroom where Benny is, while the two girls grab their things for the day, with Tomoe literally rolling out of her bed. After fixing their hair, brushing their teeth and washing their faces, Corin and Tomoe are working together to make breakfast, both wearing rather cute cooking aprons. Corin is cracking eggs and pouring the contents into a small tub. Meanwhile, Tomoe is whisking a bowl of pancake mix with milk. The light-brown-haired boy turns on the flames of the stove, layering a skillet with non-stick spray before pouring the egg yolks making four separate circles. As he prepares four omelettes with smoked ham, cheddar cheese, avocado and herbs, Tomoe works on making the pancakes and hash browns. She turns on the heat for the griddle, and starts cooking the hash browns. While the two work, Lilian and Benny sit at the bar-style counter in front of the kitchen.

Benny: "So, what do you think we should do today?"

Lilian: "Hm, I don't know honestly. The only major event that's gonna take place is the Vytal Festival, and that's not 'till a couple months."

Corin: "Basically. Right after that is the Tournament, but I think we should start training soon for it. It's always better to be prepared for something early than having to rush when it's around the corner."

Tomoe: "True, if anything, training as soon as possible sounds the most beneficial to us."

Benny: "Huhh...oh, oh, you guys wanna work on team attack combos?!"

Lilian: "I actually wouldn't mind, I like the sound of that! What do you two think?"

The oldest member of CBLT glances at the two cooks, who are finalizing their foodie products, both of them putting away the used kitchenware before placing their respective dishes onto the small dining table. Hash browns, omelettes of smoked ham, avocado and cheddar cheese, chocolate chip pancakes and glasses of some classic OJ.

Corin: "Let's figure that out after breakfast."

As team CBLT leave their dorm room, they notice team RWBY leaving as well, as the four girls, especially Ruby, spots them at the same time.

Ruby: "Oh, heya guys! Are you going out too?"

Corin: "Kind of. We were planning on prepping for the Vytal Tournament."

Yang: "This early, huh? You do know it isn't for a long time?"

Benny: "Well yeah, but you never know what could happen! They could move the date to an earlier time! That's why we're gonna sharpen our blades, train our muscles, and dominate the whole thing!"

Tomoe: "You are getting waayy ahead of yourself..."

Ruby: "Well, speaking of Vytal, why don't you guys come with us? We're going to downtown Vale to check out the preparations for the Festival!"
