Following the events of the cafeteria "fight", Lilian and Tomoe are in their last class, trying to pay attention to the cracked out wizard-looking reject that is Professor--
Oobleck: "Doctor!"
...Yes, Doctor Oobleck. Anyways, the man is zooming about his classroom, his words going a hundred miles a minute, occasionally slapping the board with his yard stick. Pyrrha, Weiss and Blake are also struggling to keep up with the prof--doctor as he goes over the lesson. Velvet is sat a little further to the middle-back of the room, while Cardin is near the front with Cardin right behind him. The former is fast asleep and the latter leaning back in his chair lazily.
Oobleck: "Yes, yes! Prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution, also known as the Faunus War, humankind was quite adamant about centralizing the faunus population in Menagerie."
As the man goes on, Lilian leans over to Tomoe, who's struggling to write down what Oobleck is saying.
Lilian: "So, how'd it go with Headmaster Ozpin?"
Tomoe: "Well, he was honestly nicer than I thought he would. I'm surprised he didn't dole out any punishment..."
(Flashback; 50 minutes ago. Location; Headmaster's Office)
Due to someone reporting the incident that had occured in the cafeteria to Goodwitch, she had ordered Tomoe to come to Ozpin's office, which is located at the top of the tower of Beacon. After a while, the elevator doors open, and the pink girl steps out of it, seeing Ozpin sitting at his desk, along with Goodwitch standing next to the furniture.
Ozpin: "Ms Hasagaki. You arrived earlier than I was ready."
Tomoe: "My apologies, Professor. Should I come back later?"
Ozpin: "No, no, don't mind me."
While she walks forward, Tomoe glances around, taking note of the gears underneath her feet in the floor.
Ozpin: "I heard from Glynda of what happened in the cafeteria."
Tomoe: "I know, but I instigated the incident, so I should be the only one punished. Please, don't punish any of my team for getting involved."
Ozpin: "Ah, you don't need to worry about that."
Tilting her head in confusion, Tomoe folds her arms.
Tomoe: "What do you mean?"
Ozpin: "The way I see it, and how Glynda sees it, you were simply defending a fellow classmate. But I would like to ask, why did you step in when no one else wouldn't?"
The question throws Tomoe off, and she hesitates for a second before shaking her head.
Tomoe: "Because I'm tired of nothing being done, and I'm tired of Faunus being treated like they're less than humans."
Ozpin: "I see...I'd offer my condolences or apologizes, but what good would that come from me, a human, to you, a faunus?"
Tomoe: "I-I...don't know, sir..."
Ozpin: "Hm, I suppose that was a rather odd question to ask. But thank you for letting me take some of your time. You may return to your classes."
Tomoe relaxes a little after hearing that, and nods goodbye before going to the elevator, leaving the office and the two faculty.
Ozpin: "Interesting..."
(Back to current time. Location; Oobleck's classroom)
Oobleck: "I hope you all are paying attention now!"
