Chapter 6- The Avengers P.O.V

"What happened to your eye patch?" Clint laughs as Fury glares on entering.

The only replaceable one was a pink one of unicorns "little sista look it's a furycorn" Pietro snorts making Wanda bite back a smile as Fury turns his glare to the siblings.

"I knew I took you in for a reason speedster" Clint barks of laughter high-fiving him over the table as Fury places a large folder on the table making the table look up.

"While you are laughing another Shield member has gone missing- a female agent Becky Haven"

"Becky?" Nat asks sitting up her hand reaching for the top file to see an agent she had met many times on missions "Haven just vanished?" Clint mumbles in shock shaking his head "I just saw her yesterday she was at the compound-"

"She was taken while training at the compound!" Fury snaps pissed this was the second agent gone missing in a matter of days.

The room tense up at that the idea of someone able to kidnap one of their own inside the compound.

"Impossible" Steve denies shaking his head "It is heavily guarded no one can get in without setting thousands of alarms-"

"Orless they have entrance to the compound" Fury says his eyes squinting as he looks over to Nat whose eyes glower at his suggestion "What were you doing last night?" he straight up asks making Clint stand.

"Are you fucking kidding?" Clint asks protectively and Fury grits his jaw "Cameras never lie"

With the swipe of his watch camera footage shows up.

Everyone watches in horror as Natasha hits the woman around the back of the head with the barrel of a gun before dragging the agent out of view from the camera.

"Impossible Romanoff was with me all last night" Clint lies but he knows his teammate well "Could this be the same person who did this to Izzy?" Steve asks his voice holding a little shake her name still affecting him even a year later.

The room quietens at her name a sad silence coming over them at the loss of their teammate.

A friend.

"That is another thing the image of the Avengers team has gone down since she went public with her engagement. We need her back the team has suffered without her on missions and the public are having a frenzy last year has been brought up again with the injustice of the situation-"

"You don't think we know that?" Bruce snaps side eyeing Steve who grips the table to remain calm at the mention of the engagement but everyone can see the jealousy radiating of the solider in waves.

"Bruce" Nat worries reaching out but he moves his hand back "Where the hell are the others?" Fury spits not happy the others didn't turn up to his 'S.O.S meeting'

"Tony is upstairs" Nat explains flipping through the folder "he found proof Pepper has been laundering millions from accounts using her status as CEO to try and take the company from him completely" she sighs something in her gut knowing it wasn't true despite the proof.

Fury's eyes widen at that his bottom lip falling speechless.

How could so much be going wrong?

"And Bucky?"

"In his room" Sam sighs "ever since his freak out towards Izzy he has been hiding up there he is not eating or drinking. Not even Steve can get him out the press is hammering him right now"
