In silence, our love begins to fray,
You're drifting farther, day by day.
You may not realize, but it's clear to see,
You're losing me, and it's breaking me.
In the mirror of time, take a look,
At the love we shared, the chapters in our book.
For when you turn around, it might be too late,
To rewrite the ending, to change our fate.
Regret, a heavy burden to bear,
When you see I'm no longer there.
In the quiet moments, the still of night,
You'll wish you held on, with all your might.
But life moves forward, and so must we,
Though it pains my heart to set you free.
Remember this, as we drift apart,
Regret can't mend a broken heart.
