First off, I want to give my apologies for it being so long in between stories! School started... so there's lots of homework, after school practices, Friday night games... plus driving practice (just got my permit!!!). I barely have time to sit and read stories let alone write them.. BUT! Here it is!
RATING WARNING. I'm not changing the maturity rating, but I will say that these characters have open discussions relating to adult topics (sex). No specific details at all, as usual (because I don't do explicit details), but the characters have a conversation about it and actually speak about sex. This hits home to me because I have a friend going through the exact same thing as the particular character in question. Since it's personal, I feel this is something that needs to be written about... And perhaps other people need to hear it, too.

"Oh, I can't wait to see what she looks like!"
"I know, right? I bet she looks beautiful, like a princess"
"That was the goal, right? Hey, you almost done in there yet? We can't wait anymore!"
Nikki Watkins popped her head out of the wardrobe closet and laughed at the Roberts sisters' discussion and questions. She smiled at the girls who promptly and eagerly stared up at her. After she cleared her throat, Nikki held out her arms and addressed the group.
"Without further ado, I give you... the future Mrs. Barbie Carson!"
Just as she gave the introduction, the closet door opened to the oldest daughter's old bedroom and out waltzed the dazzling and jaw-dropping woman in white, completely gowned up in her wedding attire she would walk down the aisle in in two months.
Wedding planning was both fun and strenuous at the same time. There were a variety of caterers, musical entertainment, venues, decor options, colors... So many options. And over the past year, it was just one thing after another, on top of the regular routine and schedule... However, when Barbie Roberts had to decide where to get her wedding dress, it was a done deal without any further thoughts.
Quick as a flash, she made a phone call to Nikki and Rafa, two of her closest friends and favorite designers. Having them construct her wedding gown was a no-brainer, and they were absolutely all in, agreeing in a heartbeat to help out the bride-to-be.
And now, as the final fitting was underway, Barbie stood there in all her glory, absolutely stunning from head to toe.
The peanut viewing gallery consisting of Skipper, Stacie, and Chelsea instinctively gasped with delight and awe at the sight of their oldest sister in her bridal gown.
"Whoooooaaaaa", whispered Chelsea, "I take it back; you don't look like a princess, you look like a queen!"
"Wow, sis!", exclaimed Stacie, sitting cross-legged on the bed, "You look amazing!"
"Ken is going to pass the heck out when he sees you", Skipper remarked with a bright and approving smile, "No joke!"
Barbie giggled and twirled once, "Aww, you guys! Thanks!" She then turned around to gaze at herself in her closet mirror, a flush rising on her face at the vision of herself in her dress... the ultimate dress. She played with the features, trailing her fingers over the embroidered and glittered outline on the bodice, all the way down to the satin mermaid flair.
It wasn't flashy, but it was all the same fantastic. The sweetheart satin trimmed bodice fit her snugly, with only her waist highlighted with embroidered flowers, glitter, and sequins. The boning on her sides kept her slim frame confined, yet flowed out gracefully into a subtle mermaid fit near her thighs and past her feet to a short semi-cathedral yet classy train that was embellished with matching embroidery and sequined designs like her waist, just as she had always dreamed. Bright diamond bangles hung from her ears and the sea glass bracelet Ken gifted her years ago adorned her wrist.
