A few minutes after Nicholas left, my bags were brought to me. I got changed into something clean, my usual jeans and T-shirt.

Alma came back with the chef, Carlos was his name, who brought a very delicious lunch for me. Once I was done eating, the dishes were cleared out immediately, and I was left alone in my new room.

I laid on the large bed, still trying to grasp the fact that this was my life now. I was being served from every corner, and it was crazy yet amazing.

It really must be so cool to be royalty.

I didn't forget to fill Ruby in on all the details, including sending pictures of the room and bathroom. Yep, I was that excited.

A knock on the door brought me out of my thoughts. I sat up quickly, adjusting myself just as the door opened and Nicholas walked in.

"Ready for your tour?" He asked me.

"Yes, I am," I answered, getting up and meeting him by the door.

We started walking side by side as he led me out of the large corridor and down the grand staircase. He pointed out different areas of the building, naming and stating their purpose. For example, the kitchen, he said the members of the royal family need not be there because the workers and the chefs had it all covered. To me, that was a little ridiculous.

He showed me around the library, where both fictional and history books were kept, the family living room, the dining room, the ballroom, and the council chamber.

He then brought me out back to the garden, which was very beautiful, different species of flowers littered on the ground and flower beds. He walked me through the flower paths, and I got to see that beyond the garden was an even bigger field, covered in carpet grass.

"This is where the wedding ceremony will be held," he stated. I looked at the plain field and instantly started picturing what it would look like after being decorated.

"Do you need us to have a wedding rehersal?" I joked, smiling at him

"Funny, but that is not necessary. I trust you will play your part well." He said.

"I definitely will," I ensured him.

"Anyways, that is that for the tour. You may retire to your room and rest as much as you wish for today," he told me.

"Are you always this formal?" I was seriously curious.

"Perks of being royalty," he simply answered.

"How is it like to be royalty?" I asked him as we walked back into the Palace.

"People see it as a privilege, a fortunate opportunity," he said.

"How do you see it?" I asked specifically.

"I see it as a burden, an outrageous responsibility. I am entrapped in this lifestyle that is not my own, and I earnestly want nothing to do with it." He said, meaning every word. I looked at him, pondering what he could have been through to make him think or speak that way.

He really looked like he didn't want to be here, like he didn't want to be part of this lifestyle like he said. It made me wonder why. People would literally kill to be royalty.
