"My dearest daughter, now that you're married, make sure to be devoted and loyal to only your husband."

Her mother advised Her, as she was getting ready to bid adieu to her beloved daughter.

"Take care of your in-laws. And do not speak ill of them. Always be obedient to your elders. I know you're a sincere child, and you've been our greatest joy growing up, and you will make the household happy where you're going." She caressed her head and hugged her in a last embrace. She had uncontrollable tears overflowing which drenched her expensive robes.

She paused for a while to wipe her tears and cleared her throat to speak again. "And most importantly, you're going to Nandavrajam. Beware of the Son of Nanda Maharaj, whose single glance can steal your senses. You must only think of your husband and no other man. Braj is very famous because of His Leelas." Her mother warned her to stay away and avoid Him at all costs.

She promised her mother that no matter what, she would never break her vow or look at any other man.

"We cannot go any further, the torrential rain storms are too strong."

The carriers placed the palanquin of the bride on the ground and refused to walk ahead. They sat down on the sides of the palanquin, tired from the long and exhausting journey to Mathura.

Madhavi got tensed as she heard the crackling sounds of thunderstorms and showers. She peeped outside through the curtains to have a look. The sight of floods and dark clouds horrified her. She nudged her husband who was almost asleep on her side, unaffected by the ongoing turmoil outside.

"Oh, the miraculous Son of Mother Yashoda happens to be my friend, for He is everyone's well wisher in Braj. Don't worry, He will find a solution for this too, just like He always protects Us every time." Her husband assured her.

She felt unsatisfied, and worried. A part of her wanted to believe what her husband had said, but a part of her wanted to flee to save her life.

She got down from the palanquin to find a way to escape and have a closer look at what was happening.

Floods of rivers and streams submerged the entire city. Trees were uprooted and lodged on the ground, and there was no speck of sunlight. Dark gloomy rain clouds surrounded all skies. She was scared and knocked out of her senses. She couldn't see anything clearly amidst the rains.

She tried calling someone for help, but no one could be seen far and wide. Not a single shadow roamed the lands. She tried walking ahead, merely relying on her intuition. A faint melodious tone seemed to call out to her, and she followed its source.

After a few steps, she stopped on her way when she suddenly saw a miraculous wonder. A small child had lifted a huge hill on top of His little finger and had sheltered all the inhabitants below the hill. They were happy and safe in His presence, and He gently played the flute to calm down everyone. They seemed so calm even though they were stuck in the storm.

She could not see anything else properly, but she managed to catch a glimpse of that child. And she was amazed beyond her senses. She couldn't take her eyes off Him. He was so charming and beautiful, His skin shone like lustre and His face radiated a divine smile. His aura was magnetic and it seemed to draw her towards Him.

She stopped and kept glancing at Him for infinite time, until a thunderous lightning hit the ground beneath her feet and she fell down unconscious.

"My Girdhar Nagar", she whispered as she fainted.
