News had spread throughout the kingdom that the Princess was a great devotee of Lord Krishna and considered Him as Her Husband.
Jashoda's parents tried their best to convince Her that it was not a doll's play anymore. Marriage was a regal choice and She had to marry a Prince one day.
But Jashoda was not going to give up so easily. She continued to serve the Lord like His dutifully wedded wife.
One day, She prepared a home cooked meal for Him. She made the very famous authentic kadhi, a curry dish, which was widely eaten in the kingdom.
She served them in beautiful golden bowls and brought them to Her Lord. She tore a piece of the bread and dipped it in the curry and fed the Lord with Her own hands.
To Her surprise, teardrops started flowing from the eyes of the idol of Her Girdhar.
"Oh Girdhar! I'm so sorry! I forgot that You are not accustomed to this much spice."
She quickly ran to the kitchen to fetch a glass of water and some sweet butter. She fed the idol who now stopped crying.
"I am sorry Girdhar, I shall be more careful the next time."

"Jashoda is growing up, we must find a suitable groom for Her."
Her aunt expressed her concern for her niece. *Her engagement with saints is not good for the reputation of the royal family. I have a suitable groom in my mind."
Her mother raised her eyebrows at the remark. "I don't think we should question the reputation of the royal household. Nevertheless, do let me know about your choice of grooms. I shall consult Her father."
Discussions and suits had grown profound over the prospects of marriage for Jashoda. She too heard the rumours and panic and anxiety struck Her.
She decided to speak to Her confidant ans the only person who understood Her devotion; Her grandfather.
"Don't worry Jashoda, as long as I am alive, no one shall force You to marry against Your wishes."
Having got His blessings and approval, She went back happily to Her daily chores of serving Her Lord.
