The sun sat high in the sky, it's rays of gold shining through a canopy of trees. A cool breeze blew through the orange-colored leaves, the soft hum of nature sounding throughout the forest.

The team made a pit stop in the forest to gather some food and take a break. After they finished up, they were getting ready to leave, but Aang noticed someone was missing.

"Where's Momo?" He looked around as Kalla, Katara, and Sokka shared a look with one another.

A few seconds later, the lemur's chittering could be heard coming from deeper into the forest. The four collectively stood up and began to head towards the area where the noise was coming from.

When they arrived, they heard the sound coming from above them. When they looked up, they were shocked to see a multitude of animals, including Momo, trapped in small cages.

Aang's eyes widened. "Hang on, Momo!"

The Water Tribe siblings watched as the boy used his staff to propel himself off the ground and into the air. He landed on a tree branch where the base of the trap was and lowered it down to the ground where Katara, Sokka, and Kalla stood.

The three made quick work in setting their lemur friend free, finding it was rather easy. When Momo jumped out, the older girl kneeled down and handed him an apple with a small smile curved onto her lips.

"There you go." She said, giving him a quick pat on the head before he jumped off.

Katara frowned as she looked up at the other animals that were still stuck in cages. "What kind of traps are these?"

"I'm not sure." Aang replied, jumping back down. The growls and grumbles coming from high in the trees made him second-think his decision. "All right, you too."

Just as he jumped up again, Sokka let out a groan. "This is gonna take forever." He said before drawing his arm back and throwing his boomerang into the air and towards the chains that hung on the tree branches.

Successfully breaking through the metal chains, the cages fell down. Once they landed on the ground, the animals that were confined in them were freed and wasted no time in running somewhere far into the forest.

The four watched as they ran off. Sokka took a step towards the cage in front of him, kneeling down in front of it and inspecting it closely.

"These are Fire Nation traps. You can tell from the metalwork." He concluded with hardened features before turning to his sisters and Aang. "We better pack up camp and get moving."

The three nodded and walked back to their camp. They situated and organized their stuff, but just as they were about to load it onto Appa's saddle, Sokka stopped them.

"Uh-uh! No flying this time." He said, walking over and taking the bag in Aang's hands.

"What?— Why wouldn't we fly?" Aang exclaimed, confusion falling over his young features.
