America POV:
I got in the elevator and pressed the button for the 4th floor. I couldn't wait to just sit down on the couch and ignore the entire world. There was no way my roommates could already be in the room so that would buy me some time to get the states settled in. I anxiously waited for the doors to open and rushed to the room. There was a little sign next to the door that said "A R M" which was weird enough as it was. To make things weirder there were colors under each letter- gold under A, blue under R, and yellow under M.
I shook my head and scanned the card to enter the room. As I entered I noticed a pair of shoes already at the door. The only thing that escaped me was a quiet mumble.
"Shit..."
The shoes looked oddly familiar, like I had seen them before. I gently moved the pair of shoes over a bit and took off my own shoes. The room was nice and warm, the first thing you see when you enter the room is the living room. The couch was against the wall and the TV was set up on a little TV stand with the coffee table in between them. If you turn to the right you'd be met with the kitchen which was dimly lit and had a small table fit for 3 people. To the left was a hallway with 3 doors, which meant 3 bedrooms.
... where's the bathroom?
It seemed like one of the bedrooms were already occupied, it was the room at the end of the hallway. I decided to choose the one closest to the living room just to be safe. I entered the room and found my stuff already there. Huh, UN knows us well. Not that well, but well enough to know which rooms we'd choose. (A/N: WELL I THINK THAT MEANS THEY KNOW YOU WELL-)
The room was nice and cozy. There was a four poster bed in the center of the room with... pink curtains... ahem... there was a nightstand next to the bed and a white book rack to the left of the entrance. There was also a bathroom and walk-in closet to the right- damn, what were they thinking when they built this? For some kind of royalty? Maybe a person of high-class? An important business person?? Someone that is NOT me?
I walked in and saw a note on the night stand. It was obviously from UN judging by the neat handwriting.
"Dear America,
If you are reading this then it seems I guessed which room you'd want to be in."
No shit
"I know how safe you like to be so I knew you'd pick this room. I really hope you don't mind the inconvenience. You may or may not like your roommates"
What's that supposed to mean...?
"I just hope you get along. Besides, there's someone you certainly know at the end of the hall. Just give her a knock on the door and she'll answer you, I hope you settle in nicely.
-Sincerely, UN"
Well... that note was interesting to say the least. I really hope UN isn't trolling me... then again, he's a serious person. What did he mean by someone I know? And why the actual hell should I knock on her door? The foock?
I sighed and flopped onto the bed, staring at the ceiling. There was an unusual feeling in the pit of my stomach that I couldn't pinpoint, a feeling that something bad was going to happen.
Usually it always happens.
But I'm stupid enough to never listen.
I'm doing it anyways cause' I'm a stupid American with no morals and no self-control.
I stood up and walked out of my room, down the hall, and stood in front of the door. There was a piece of paper stuck to it.
Must be an Asian country smh
"Myanmar's room, knock before-"
MYANMAR'S ROOM?!
I just interrupted myself before I even got to finish
"Myanmar's room, knock before entering."
Ok yeah no one gives a SHEET I'm just gonna...
I opened the door and saw... Myanmar sitting on the bed chanting some random stuff in presumably Burmese.
"Awgatha, awgatha, awgatha... karyakan, wazikan, manawkan..."
"What the hell"
"WHAT THE-"
Myanmar dropped her beads and stared at me
"DID YOU NOT READ THE SIGN IDIOT?! WHY DIDN'T YOU KNOCK-"
"Didn't feel like it."
Myanmar's room was nicely decorated. Sunflowers in a blue pot on top of her dresser and a few paintings- those look familiar
Something an Austrian- I'll stop...
"So... since you're here, I wonder who our other roommate is?"
"Probably some buffoon." Myanmar rolled her eyes
"Pft- OK girl." I chuckled and paused
"How the hell you get here before me? I literally rushed like Rush E." I stared at her
"Not important. Anyways I'm getting hungry, I would have finished my prayer if SOMEONE didn't barge into my room."
...
"Teehee."
I left the room quicker than George WashingMachine could fight for freedom and went straight to the kitchen.
Why the hell is there a bottle of Vodka on the counter
And a whole pack of cola...
And a Burmese royal milk tea pack?
Wait a minute
Oh no...
Lol yeah I didn't work on this chapter for months
