Bill shot up from my body. He looked into my eyes with angry eyes, almost as if he were mad at me?
"What are you saying?" He asked as he shook his head slightly while he spoke.
"I'm not saying anything? I just felt that you deserve to know." I replied, propping myself up with my hands.
"Are you going to get back together with him?"
"What? Of course not. What makes you say that?"
"Because you're telling me? It made me think that you were." Bill said as he sat up in the couch.
"I would never get back with him Bill. I know what to expect now." I said as I scooted in closer to him on the couch.
"I hope you know. Tom is just a player. He'll repeat the same things over and over again. Tamara broke up with him, i'm sure it's the only reason he's trying to get with you again." Bill replied as he looked down. I rubbed his shoulder, assuring him I would never go back to his brother.
"Do you want to spend the night?" Bill asked as he slipped his clothes back on.
"Can I?" I replied as I was about to slip my shoes back on.
"Duh, that's why I asked." Bill said as he swung his jacket over his shoulder.
"Sure." I smiled as he extended his hand out, helping me off the couch. He led me into his bedroom which was just as clean as I remember. We laid on his bed and watched horror movies together until we eventually fell asleep.
I woke up to Bill shaking me awake. I softly groaned and turned over while yawning. I sat up a bit, rubbing my eyes as I peeled them open to see Bill standing over me with a worried look.
"What?" I said as my eyes were only half way open.
"Tom is downstairs. I don't know how he'll react if he sees you." Bill said, worried out of his mind.
"Let him see me, who cares?"
"I do!"
"Well I don't, just take me home." I said as I got out of his bed. I picked my shoes up and headed out of his bedroom. I walked down the stairs as Bill quickly followed after me. I opened the front door and walked outside without being seen by Tom. Mission accomplished I guess. Bill drove me home, almost giving me a lecture, until we had arrived at my house.
When I walked in the front door, Tyler was seated on the couch."Where were you?" He asked. I furrowed my eyebrows and tilted my head at him.
"What are you my dad?" I scoffed and set my bag down on the kitchen counter. I walked over to the fridge, opening the door, and scanning it for any snacks.
"Answer my question. We're you with Tom?" I was taken aback by his comment.
"Excuse me? Of course not." I said as I shut the refrigerator door.
"So then just tell me where you were."
"I went clubbing with Gwen and went home with Bill. Happy?" I said as I snatched my purse off the counter and walked towards my bedroom. Tyler is always so overprotective, but now it's just getting annoying. Ever since Tom and I broke up he's been more than just a dick. We've never gotten into this many arguments before, it's like he switched up all of a sudden. Leon walked into my room and sat down in my bed.
"Hey, just ignore Tyler, he probably just doesn't know how to go through with it all." He said as he rubbed my back.
"Go through with what? It's my problem." I said as I relaxed at his touch.
"Well, Tom was his best friend. After you two broke up he can't really decide who's side he's on." Leon replied as he slowed his motions down, eventually taking his hand off my back.
"I guess, but I don't get why he's always arguing. Can't he just let it be?" I questioned as I sat up in my bed, facing Leon. He paused for a moment before speaking.
"Maybe he just really cares about you and doesn't know how to not argue. He doesn't really know how to communicate his feelings." Leon said as he sat criss crossed on my bed. I sighed at his words and fell back onto my many pillows.
"I just wish this whole thing could end. It's tiring having to keep Bill a secret, while Tom wants to get back together." I said as I put my arms across my chest.
"Wait, Tom wants to get back together?" Leon asked as if he hadn't known before.
"You didn't know..?" I questioned as I slowly sat up, looking at him with a confused look.
"No!"
"Well you do now." After I finished my sentence, the doorbell rang and both of our heads shot towards the sound.
