A/N: it's 13th Feb 2024. Just gonna publish this because let's be real, I'm never finishing it. Sorry.

Scene: 17:40, near the beginning of lunch. Harry hadn't showed up, but instead stayed hidden in their dorm.
Draco's pov

Sure, Draco had only been sitting down for just shy of ten minutes, but without Harry there to distract him he was far more aware of people staring at him.

Blaming him for everything that happened.

He wanted Harry to be sitting with him, or to be with Harry wherever else the man was.

Despite not yet touching any food, Draco stood from the table and started towards the entrance.

Ron and Hermione noticed this and began following him at Hermione's request.

He didn't know when he made it back to the dorms. He almost just blinked and he was there. He blinked again, and he was standing in his and Harry's bedroom, but he couldn't see the other man.

He closed his eyes for a moment, and found himself in the common room looking for him.

What? When did he get here?

He was pulled out of his thoughts by the sound of Harry's voice from the kitchen.

"Dray? Are you alright?"

He whipped his head around to see him, before taking a deep breath and nodding his head. He couldn't help himself, he advanced towards Harry and enveloped him in a hug. If he started crying, Draco didn't realise and Harry didn't say a thing.

They stood like that for fifteen minutes before Harry began guiding him upstairs to get him away from the other four, who's eyes were glued at the scene.

He sat on the edge of his bed with Harry next to him, leaning his head on his shoulder. It was comforting, to say the least.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked, his stunningly green eyes diverting from their shoes to Draco's blue-silver ones.

He shook his head without a word, willing himself not to cry.

He didn't have the heart to tell Harry of the bullying. The other man had been so nice to him- there wasn't any need to bother him with it.

'I guess it's karma in the end,' he thought.

Draco lighten his left arm where Harry was leaning and wrapped it around the shorter man, bringing them even closer to eachother. It was a nice feeling. Almost natural.

This was how they found themselves sitting most nights. Gripping onto eachother like they had no choice. It was weird, they knew that, but it felt right. Neither talked about it.

"We should get back downstairs, I was just about to cook dinner. I think everyone's starving by now," Harry told him.

He glanced at the clock on his bedside table.

18:26

"Yeah, I suppose we should," Draco replied as he wiped his eyes.

The two stood up slowly, Draco's arm still around Harry. They walked downstairs like this without realising.

Once in the kitchen, Draco leant down to lean his forehead on Harry's shoulder.

The other man let out a soft giggle, "you alright there?"

"Mm tired.." he grumbled out

They both chuckled as Harry pulled out a chair for Draco, who sat down and cast a spell to set the table for them.
