Unwanted x Visitor

KILLUA POV:

I was woken up to the sunlight hitting my face, I turned around to my phone and checked the time. 8:00 am it read, I better get ready for work.

Last week I took the whole week off, so I could spend more time with Gon. I probably shouldn't be doing that in front of my clients, some of them are payed by my dad and older brother Illumi, so if they see me slacking off they would probably tell them. But my friend Rebecca aka my receptionist isn't like that, she only works for me.

She told me she got this job so she can get enough money to save her sister, who is currently very ill, I feel bad for Rebecca, and ever since that interview we've become somewhat best friends.

I walked into work and saw Rebecca immediately. I smiled and walked up to her.

"Hey Becca!" I said in a cherrie tone. She looked at me and smiled "morning Killua, you seem very happy today. Have you proposed yet?" She battered her eyes at me. I blushed "n-no me and Gon had a talk with our doctor, and we figured we should take it slow, I mean Gon wants to start a family and I want to propose to him, but we both haven't got the time" I said, "so does he know or?...." I chuckled "no not yet, I'm thinking after he graduates" I shove my hands in my pockets.

"Well if you don't mind I need to take the day off today" Rebecca sprung up from her seat and clapped her hands together.

"Oh okay, but why?" I raised an eyebrow.

"You know my sister, Rose, right? Her hospital bill is due in today, she's making recovery slowly, but I think I have enough money to cover it"

I smiled, "well that's great! I'm glad she's doing well"

Rebecca nodded. "So I need to visit her today, and figure out when she can come home" Rebecca fiddled with her fingers.

I patted her shoulder, "go on I will get someone to cover for you" I shot her a sweet smile and she looked at me with pure joy.  

"Ohh thank you Killua! You're the best!" She hugged me and I hugged back.

She grabbed her belongings and walked out the door.

"Why did you let a colleague go?" A dark voice suddenly appeared.

I turned around and sighed in annoyance.

"Hi Illu-ni" I said quietly, kicking at the ground.

"Who's gonna book appointments?" He asked.

I frowned, "don't worry I'm getting to that, I will have someone else cover for her"

"You shouldn't act all sensitive with your coworkers Kil, it brings shame and weakness, this is an assassination business, not some charity event" he whispered in my ear.

I shoved him off "would you kindly bug off! This is my business now alright?! I decide how I run this place!" I yelled.

"Yes but don't forget me and dad own you, speaking of which I heard from a little birdy that you've been slacking off as well. Where have you been?"

I growled, "nunya"

"Nunya?"

"None of your damn business" I snapped.

"Well it is my business fortunately. I am your boss let's just say"

"Look Illu-ni there's something I wanna tell you about" I sighed

"And what's that?"

"I....can't do this anymore"

"Oh really? How so? Is it too much for little Kil?" He mocked.

"Yeah it is actually, I hate running a business that involves taking people's
Lives"

Illumi went wide eyed.

"But Kil, you've been killing all your life. Why sudden change?"

"It's not a change! I've always hated it I just kept it in and played along with you! I'm done and I'm sick of it! I quit Illumi!" I shouted in his face.

He stepped back a bit, I can tell he was ticked off now.

"I will report this to father. He won't be pleased" he snarled and walked out the door. I let out a massive sigh, I didn't know I was holding in.

It was the end of the day and I was packing up....all my stuff. I didn't care if my dad wasn't ok with it, I'm leaving this place and that's finale.

I thought I didn't have anything else planned so I decided to go to the hospital where Rebecca's sister is. Maybe she's still there?

I walked up to the reception desk. "Hello how may I help you?" The lady said.

"I'm visiting Rose Turner" i said. Remembering Rebecca's last name.

The lady nodded and typed away In her computer. "May I ask, what's your relationship with the young lady?" She said, "ohh I'm just friends with her big sister, Rebecca" i said.

"Ahh I see, she's still here if you want to see her" the lady said, I nodded. "The room is 201" she gave me a piece of paper with the room number receipt and I walked along the hallway.

I walked in and I saw Rebecca sitting on a chair, next to her sister holding her hand, I can hear Rose slightly talking but it sounded weak.

I knocked on the door, and Rebecca turned around.

"Killua?! What are you doing here?" She jumped up.

"I've just come to see you both" I said.

"Wow Becca....I didn't know you had a boyfriend" Rose giggled in the background.

Rebecca blushed, "he's not my boyfriend sis! He already has a partner!"

I laughed "it's okay"

"He's just my boss/best friend" Rebecca explained as she sat back down again.

"I'm Killua"

"Hi I'm Rose, it's nice to meet you" she beamed at me. Rebecca and Rose almost look the same but with different facial features.

"Rebecca can I talk to you for a minute?" I gesture towards the door, she turned to her sister and nodded.

"I know you were lying earlier" I said once we got in the hallway.

Rebecca flinched. "I'm sorry, what?"

"You said you have enough money to cover Rose's expenses, I don't believe that. You've been with us for 3 months now, and you couldn't gotten that enough money in 3 months"

Rebecca chuckles "wow you like some lie detector huh?"

"Please my boyfriend is a bad liar enough, I can tell when he's lying" I leaned back against the wall.

"You're right I don't exactly have the right amount to cover it. But this morning I got a call and....Rose's temperature was really high, I got scared so I had to see her, the doctors said she really is getting better but sometimes she gets these unexpected changes and..."

Rebecca sobbed quietly.

"I don't know what to do....we don't have any parents to help us, and I have no outside support...it's so hard Killua" she cried.

I pulled her into a hug.

I got out my wallet and gave her a couple of a thousand Jenny in her hand.

She gasped "no...no no I can't except this!" She pushed the money back.

"No please take it, I have enough, im doing this as your best friend, not your boss....take it" I shoved the money back to her.

"But your family-"

"Eh they're just gonna have to get use to it I guess" I shrugged.

Tears fell down on to Rebecca's face as she pulled me into another hug.

"What would I do without you..." she sobbed.

I smiled and patted her back.
