I know all of you are pissed off but please forgive me for not updating.
After the very straightforward question from Rajyavardhan, Apoorva was now sure that the man she liked was a bold one.
Rajyavardhan : Vaise khush iss baat se hona chahiye tha ki humne aapse poocha... Varna hum poochte bohot kam hain.....
He said giving a little smirk, leaving Apoorva speechless.
They continued walking and talking about their life, most of the talking was done by Raj and through his communication it was evident that he had great leadership qualities and enjoyed being dominant. You could easily tell that he was enjoying Apoorva just listening and nodding to whatever he said. After all, having the reins in his hand always gave him pleasure, whether it was talking, killing or fucking.
He was just explaining about his work and how much area of Lucknow is under him when a man approached them and requested Raja to step aside for a talk. It was Gurpal the man who was always with Rajyavardhan.
While the men were at a distance discussing something very important, as it looked like, Apoorva wondered about Gurpal. Who was he? Why was he always with Raj? Maybe she'll ask him that today. She was in her thoughts when Raj approached her.
Raj : Bore toh nahi ho gayi?
Apoorva : Nahi nahi, kya baat karni thi unko?
Raj : Uhh aise hi kuch kaam ke baare mein.
Apoorva : Kaun hain voh? Gurpal?Apoorva noticed Raj giving a small smirk at the name of Gurpal. He knew he couldn't possibly explain who Gurpal was, his contributions and sacrifices for the Rathore family, especially for Raja, were innumerable.
Raj : Aadmi hai humara
Apoorva : Aapke saath kaam karte hain?
Raj: Haha, nahi humare liye kaam karte hain.
Apoorva: aapke liye toh bohot log kaam karte hain, lekin ye humesha aapke saath hote hain aisa kyu? Baaki log kyu nahi saath rehte?Raja took a deep breath....
Raj : Gurpal sirf humare liye kaam hi nahi karta, humare liye apni jaan bhi de sakta hai. Wafadar hai humara. Wafadar samajhti ho?
Apoorva : Haan loyal.
Raj : Arey translation nahi pooche hain, samjhate hain ruko.
Wafadar ke liye maalik ka hukum sabkuch hota hai, jo hukum de use bina soche samjhe poora karta hai. Gurpal ko agar hum bolein, ki bauji ko thok do, toh voh bina sawaal pooche jaayega aur bauji ko thok dega. Lekin kisi aur ke kehne pe nahi, sirf humare kehne pe, kyunki uski wafadari humari taraf hai.Telling Apoorva about Gurpal took Raj down memory lane. He was 18, just joined college when he first met Gurpal.
Many years back
Gurpal's story is one in itself. His forefathers had served the Rathore family just as loyally as he does. Gurpal was a man of dignity and respect, he didn't believe in serving others like his ancestors, but he was not aware that loyalty ran in his blood.
When Gurpal was asked to assist Raj's older brother Indrajeet, he refused in arrogance. He didn't greet any one from the Rathore family not even bauji, he would stand up when bauji entered the room out of pity but never meant it.
All of this changed one fine day, Gurpal was sitting in the verandah chair when he for the first time saw Rajyavardhan walking in his direction to have a talk with Gurpal's father regarding work.
As soon as Rajyavardhan entered the area, Gurpal stood up and said 'Pranam bhaiya' . Everyone was stunned at this, but all of them knew that a new wafadar had just been awakened.
Laughing out loud Bauji said to Raja 'Mubarak ho Raja, aapko aaj ek wafadar mila hai'
Present
Rajyavardhan: Wafadari seekhane se nahi aati hai, ya toh insaan wafadar paida hota hai ya dhokebaaz. Aur wafadar kiske liye hona hai ye bhi koi seekha nahi sakta, jaise Gurpal sirf aur sirf humare liye wafadar hai aur aisa kyu hai ye use bhi nahi pata.
Apoorva: Toh aap jo bolenge voh vahi karte hain?
As soon as she completed her sentence a gun shot was heard a little far from the haveli which startled Apoorva.
Rajyavardhan looked at the direction of the noise and smirked.
Rajyavardhan: Haan, jo hum bolenge voh vahi karega.
Apoorva : Ye awaaz kya thii??!!
Rajyavardhan : Kuch nahi bas kaam se related.
It was almost lunch time, Rajyavardhan said to Apoorva that they should move inside as everyone might be waiting for lunch to which she nodded.
While heading back to the haveli, Apoorva turned to look at the direction of the noise which looked like a giant store room sort of property situated at the back of the main haveli. And saw 2-3 men carrying a giant bag to a Jeep. On looking closely she noticed red stains on the bag and realised what was inside.
She somewhere knew about the line of work Raj was in, but now it was comfirmed that it was no decent work.
The jeep in which the bag was kept was driven by a tall, dark and intimidating man. She looked over Rajyavardhan and asked who that guy was.
Rajyavardhan: Voh? Voh daulat hai, humare liye hi kaam karta hai.
Apoorva : Voh bhi wafadar hain aapke?
Raj: Nahi, daulat accha aadmi hai, hum jo kehte hain karta bhi hai, lekin wafadar nahi hai. Hume pranam karta hai lekin hume uski aankhon mein voh devotion nahi dikhta. Use abtak apna sahi maalik mila nahi hai.
Daulat's jeep had stopped at the gate of the haveli he may have wanted to tell Raja something.
Apoorva and Raja moved to the jeep, it was surprising to see someone noticing Raja but not stepping out of the jeep to salute him. Maybe Daulat was like Gurpal too, not wanting to bow down for others.
Daulat's eyes were locked on Rajyavardhan as they moved closer to the jeep, but as his eyes drifted to look at the figure that was moving with him, Daulat's eyes widened, as Raj and Apoorva reached Daulat, he stepped out of the jeep joined his hands and said, 'Salam madam'.
Rajyavardhan wondered for a brief second smiled and said 'Mubarak ho Apoorva, aaj aapko wafadar mila hai', as he knew, a new wafadar was awakened.
