Four: I never liked Chiron but I think I like him even less now.

When the oracle speaks I hear it. Due to my mom being associated with prophecies and shit. I've heard so many, its actually sad. The amount of quest I've seen, that not all fo them return.

Percy came down. "Well?" Chiron asked him. Percy slumped into a chair at the pinochle table.

"She said I would retrieve what was stolen."

Grover sat forward, chewing excitedly on the remains of a Diet Coke can. "That's great!"

"What did the Oracle say exactly?" Chiron pressed. "This is important."

"She . .. she said I would go west and face a god who had turned. I would retrieve what was stolen and see it safely returned."

"I knew it," Grover said.

Chiron didn't look satisfied. "Anything else?" Percy clearly didn't want to tell him. I studied him, he didn't want to reveal everything. He was scared of what may happen.

I don't necessarily blame him, me and Aster were the same way when we got ours. It took a out for everyone to find out the full prophecy.

"Romano, what was the full prophecy? That wasn't all of it I know it wasn't!" Young Ethan screamed.

"It doesn't matter anymore, Nakamura! He's dead! Okay dead!"

"Child, what did it say." Chiron demanded.

Astra was sick and tired of everyone asking her what the full prophecy was. It didn't matter anymore. Her brother was dead, her other half.

It was all everyone was asking her. Since she came back its the only fucking question they'd asked her. No 'how are you?' — 'do you need anything?' — 'are you okay?'.

Nothing.

Finally she exploded.

"Children of divination, shall go west to the Titan of mortality, Through the lost of a star, shall the titan of mortality fall."

"Thats the stupid fucking prophecy you guys wanted!" She yelled, the ground withered around her. Flowers surrounding her died, the ground shook. It felt like the whole world was shaking.

She caused an earthquake.

Chiron looked up at her, with a terrified look. Her eyes widened. In a blink of an eye she was gone. Sprinting through the woods.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Percy speak up again.

"No," he said. "That's about it."

He studied Percy's face. "Very well, Percy. But know this: the Oracle's words often have double meanings. Don't dwell on them too much. The truth is not always clear until events come to pass."
