WE MOURNED THE MEMORY OF A FRIEND (WHO MAY BE ALIVE BUT WE'RE NOT SURE)

What was I thinking? Kissing Percy, really? I ran through the Labyrinth, leaving Percy behind.

As if the labyrinth was on my side, within a couple hundred feet I made it to the entrance of Camp Half-Blood. I stumbled out of the labyrinth no doubt my face was streaked with tears. I stopped crying long ago, but had yet to wipe them away.

How could I leave Percy behind? I had seen the explosion, there's no way he could've survived that. There's absolutely no way he could've.

Nothing could've survived that, no one could've survived that. No one except Astra.

The thoughts of Astra hurt. They hurt so much, especially since seeing her with a group of kids in San Francisco.

Had she replaced us that fast? She had a new friend group. I couldn't make out anyones face, except that there was a blonde boy, a brunette boy, a boy with black hair, a brown girl with dirty blonde hair, and a brunette girl.

She seemed so happy with them, laughing and smiling.

She said she'd return for the summer. But she hadn't returned, that's when I learned she had gone on a mission for Chiron.

She was supposed to be back by June 1st, but she had gone radio silent. Chiron declared her missing, she had been gone for four months. On a mission that should've taken no longer than two months.

Chiron refused to say what her mission consisted of. So when the Oracle said the missing, I knew it was talking about Astra. Who else would it be?

The dead, was Nico raising the dead. But the missing shall raise had to mean she was coming back. It had too.

"Annabeth? Where's Percy, Grover and Tyson?" A voice spoke. I looked up and met the eyes of Clarisse La Rue.

Astra's best friend, was she even her best friend anymore? Had Astra also replaced Clarisse?

"Grover and Tyson are searching for Pan, Percy..." I trailed off not meeting her eyes.

"Shit." Clarissed turned away and called for one of her siblings.

"Guard the entrance." She told her brother, Max. Clarisse led me to the big house when something at the top of the hill caught my eye.

A black hair girl stumbled into camp, with a tear streaked face. It was Astra.

She had open cuts on her arms, oozing out blood.

Why had her cuts not closed up? There was dried blood around it, but it kept bleeding. Her shirt was in shreds. Claw marks going down her shirt.

What happened to her?

She met my eyes and tears formed in her eyes. She would've fallen down the hill if it wasn't for Clarisse who I hadn't realized had left my side, catching her.
