KATH'S POV

What's supposed to be only a snack turned into dinner since it was nearing 7pm already.
Mapilit rin kasi itong si Daniel, wala naman akong magawa.

"I told you I'm fine with fries and softdrinks na eh." I declared. But he still didn't buy it.

"C'mon Kath, pambawi nga dba? Saka minsan lang to kaya hayaan mo na." pangiti niyang pagdahilan.

"Where are we going ba?" I asked as I shifted on my seat. I was at the front seat right next to him. Don't get me wrong, I feel a bit uncomfortable since I'm not used to hanging out with boys, lalo na nga 'tong kay Daniel because I don't really know him that much except that he is my classmate and lab partner. But other than that...nothing. That's why I kept shifting on my seat once in a while.

He smiled while he shifted his gear. "Don't worry, malapit na tayo. And okay ka lang ba? Kanina ka pang hindi ma pakali ata dyan. Is the seat uncomfortable?"

The seat. No. With you. Yes.

"My sinasabi ka?" -Daniel

Oops. Did I just say that out loud? Hindi naman ata. Narinig niya kaya yun?

"Ahm..eh wala...I mean...medyo na aawkwardan lang...ngayon lang kasi ako nka sakay sa kotse mo at tayong dalawa lang dito at di pa tayo masyado talagang mgkakilala, eh di ba awkward yun? Haha..." Haaay Kath, so embarrassing!

"Hahaha! Sus! Yun lang ba? Edi mas kilalahin natin ang isa't isa!" he suggested. I looked at him. He was smiling. There's something interesting in his eyes. Kahit hindi siya nka tingin ng diretso sakin at side view lang ang makita ko...parang I can still see something interesting in his eyes. Para bang may spark. Or gutom lang ata talaga to. Kathryn, focus!

I was about to say something again when we came to a stop.

"Here we are!" He said. I peeked at the window. I looked at the place.

Champagne Rose.

Woah. This is a fancy restaurant. Why the...?

Daniel took his car keys and was ready to leave the car when..

"Daniel? Why are we here?"

"What else do you do in a restaurant Kathryn? Of course, kakain tayo dito!" he said sarcastically.

"Duh! Alam ko naman yun. But I mean...why here? Okay lang naman kahit nag Mcdo tayo or KFC, kahit nga fishball eh! Dun na lang tayo!" I protested.

He chuckled. "Kath naman, choosy ka pa? Huwag ka nang komontra okay? Besides, I said naman dba, my treat? So my treat, my choice!" he smiled again.

"But..."

"Op! No buts! Isa pa at hindi ka talaga makakauwi. And I'm really hungry already, so let's go na."

Ok fine, if that's what he wants. I unfastened my seat belt.

He closed his car door and hurriedly went to the other side of his car to open the car door for me. Hmm..in fairness, gentleman. Minsan ewan, pero minsan good rin ha.

"After you Madam?" pabiro niyang sabi. I just smiled.

DANIEL'S POV

"Good evening ma'am, sir. Table for two?" the waitress greeted us.

"Uhm, yes. We'd prefer near the window, please." I said.

"Please follow me." the waitress ushered us to a table almost near the corner of the restaurant but somewhat near the window as well.

Pinili ko talaga yung spot na yun para mas less ang distorbo kung mag usap kami ni Kath. When we got to our table, I quickly pulled out the chair for Kathryn. Naks! Of course, the moves na dapat 'to as early as now. Kath seems surprised but she thanked me with a smile anyway and sat down. Ugh, my heart! Itago mo yang kilig mo DJ!!!
