"Hm. Is he a friend of yours?"
"Yes."
Costa nodded, reaching his hand up to move a stray piece of hair from my face. "If you ever let another man touch you again, there will be consequences. Do you understand?"
He spoke so softly yet so ominously...

Three Months Later
"Lula."
"Lula."
"Lula!"
Finally I heard a soft meow bringing a smile to my lips. A few seconds later she shuffled out from underneath the couch in the main living room of the Accardi villa.
"You've been hiding from me?" I pouted my lips, dropping down next to her on the floor.
"Is it because Costa is gone?" I stroked her fur, watching her come in closer to my legs.
She always seems to go quiet when Costa is gone for too long. She's extremely attached to him but not so much to the rest of his family.
I don't blame her - they're not the bestest friends to have.
"You know, he's really not that great." She instantly stepped back, releasing a sharp meow. "Okay, fine. I'm sorry. He's nice to you, I get it."
I didn't get it.
Costa's a dick.
But I can't upset Lula. She's my friend.
"This situation is so weird, Lu. You like me and him, but we hate each other. You think this is what it will be like when we have a baby?" I frowned. I can't imagine the day Costa and I decide it's time to have a child.
We don't speak at all.
He'd probably call me into his office and present a formal contract detailing everything about the baby making process.
How awkward.
"What shall we do for the rest of the day, Lula?" Her response was exactly what I'd hoped - she snuggled into my lap, resting her face on her front paws. "That's exactly what I was thinking too." I grinned.
This is why we're friends.
After a few minutes of stroking her fur, I lifted her up into my arms. We decided to go and watch a movie in the cinema room.
Lula's favourites are always horror movies or thrillers.
