Outside?

She's outside, picking through the window I don't see any car in the driveway.

Another texts pops up letting me know she's around the corner to the right. Grabbing my hoodie, I quickly speed walk out of the room, slowing down when I pass by the kitchen. "I'll be right back." I call making sure to not engage in any questionnaire my mother wants to digest this moment.

"He has a girlfriend." I hear Darnell tell her.

"Don't stay out late." Mother calls.

"Alright ma." I quickly pull the door open and instantly close it right behind him. I am giving Darnell ten minutes before he comes out spying on me. I see her car and make a jog for it. As soon as I close myself in this tiny space with her. Her naked body plays into my mind.

"May I drive you somewhere, I'll bring you back?"

"Sure." Because Darnell will be out soon and his not one to shy away from pressing his head into the window once he sees me inside. Silently driving us out of the street, now I wondered what she really wanted to say, I haven't been able to read her and it drives me crazy.

I think about her every single day, does she?

Her actions since I came back are confusing. I need answers, I have been patient long enough. Olivia pulled into a drive through and got me a bacon burger, a soda while she got herself a milkshake. We were still near mom's place, thank goodness because it gave me an option of leaving her car if the need aroused.

"Thank you," I said between bites. "What did you want to talk about?"

She sipped on her drink. Sighed. Placed her hands on the wheel and looked at me. Watching me as I continued to eat because I was hungry. And boy did I love her watching me, every little attention I got from her made my heart warm. So I welcomed every gaze she washed me with.

"I shouldn't be here." Her eyes checked me out, trailing every part of my body before looking out her window.

"Why did you come then?" finishing up with food. "Honestly I thought you came to apologize."

She nodded, "That would mean I'm sorry about it."

"Are you?"

"No?"

What does this all mean. "Did you know I was still the house." She turned to face me again, adjusting herself so that her entire body faced me. I did the same. "Sometimes you look at me and I think there is more." Her brown eyes took in the length of. "like the way you are looking at me now."

A smirk played across her lips and I was eating it up. "And how is that?"

Instead of telling her how I so things I decided to play it safe. "To be honest you confuse me, I'd rather not assume." Then risking it by tasting the waters, I glazed my fingers on her arm. "It would hurt too much if I got it wrong."

"I wish you never told me how you felt." Does that mean... "You should have continued to ignore me spencer."

"But I'm tired of that, Olivia I like you."

"We have no right to feel how we feel spencer, it's not right." her voice soft.

She was so good at this and I hated it. Olivia was saying things and not saying them at the same time, skating around. I wanted to hear it but I wasn't going to force her to spell the words for me because I had no business of demanding anything from her.

Her opening up, even just a little bit couldn't be the end, I needed more from this before putting a lid on it. Glad she didn't pull her hand away, I played with her fingers, soft, felt like feathers with bones.
