OLIVIA

48 hours felt like a week. Only when your freedom is taken away do you realize it's importance. When I was behind those bars with some women looking like their meals relay on how many opioids they can take. Let stop reliving the situation, bottom line is that is was awful.

"Madame if the boy is 18 there is nothing we can do about  it. You deal with such problems at home." Says officer Taner.

Grace is livid, not wanting to accept the reality and I don't blame her. Though if we weren't in this place I would have gone off on her, however this Taner woman seems to like my behaviour so I will keep it that way.

Grace turns facing me with bullets shooting out of her eyes. Huffs, takes three steps towards the door and turns her attention back to me.

"I trusted you with my son," her voice cracking, I think she's convinced herself that I somehow molested her son's mind.

My lips twitch at wanting to say something but once again I hold myself, this is nor the place or time.

When Grace realizes that she won't get any reaction from me, she leaves with her lawyer trailing behind her but not before saying a few words to my lawyer.

Could careless what about, I just want to go home.

"That was close, tell me this is the last time I have to visit you in such a place?" Jordan says.

His done so much for me, I am humbled for what his done. "We can agree on that."

He smiles. "Your boyfriend didn't want to go, he wanted to come and see you but I told him that it wasn't a good idea. Can you imagine that?"

"I'm just glad we can put this matter behind us. You did well convincing him to go." I would hate for him to miss out on this new journey. Checking my phone his name is filled with a dozen texts.

"So how is the divorce going?"

From one sour conversation to the other.

"I might have a headache just thinking about it, Cory won't sign," His way of making things difficult for me. But I will respect that.

That man has lost his damn mind if he thinks i will get on my knees just for him to sign.

"What will you do then."

"I can't force his hand, I will go about my day while he keeps on holding onto noodles for strings."

Cory and I once where in a good place, I know where he stands and so does he. No need to stir up drama everyday, he will sign them when  his tired.

My phone vibrates, a call coming from Spencer.

"Did you tell Spencer, I got out?"

"Yeah," he looks my way for a second before Glancing back to the road. "Won't you answer him, his worried you know, at least to let him know everything is fine here otherwise he'll keep bombarding my phone with texts.

Sighing I decide to write him a text letting him know i will give him a call later, I am not talking on the phone with my brother here.

When we get to the apartment, Grace is waiting outside, not even sitting in the car or something, she's just waiting.

"Oh boy, want me to stay?"

"No I got this, thank you."

I slip off the car, a chuckle escapes my throat as I approach her. She stands straighter. "Want to join me inside." It's not a question she can stand here if she wants to.
