Chapter 17

"Did you come with them"

"Yeah I showed them at the pool, are you going to put the moves on patience." My eyes bug out, that is not what I meant when I told him to bring some fun.

We never really dated but we have had a few make-out sessions here and there.  And let's not forget she likes me, told me that herself.

"Chris."

"Hey I couldn't invite everyone but her she's our friend." He says while we grab some snacks. "Besides thought you liked."

"I said she was a nice girl."

"No, you said she's hot, her kisses are great and you wanted to date her. Don't know why this is news to you" he glances at before we step outside. "If your feels changed then say that instead of acting like I brought your enemy."

I watch him join the others as I come up behind him,  I say hi to everyone who are just for people. Patience is in her bathing suite as she walks upto me.

"We missed you so much." Wrapping her hands around my waist.

"Been here all the time"

She playfully slaps me, takes the snacks and hands a drink to kayla.

Maybe this could work, the pool faces Olivia's room so she might check on us.

Let the fun begin.

It's now passed 5pm, completely dark but it's only 6:30pm. It's only us four now, Patience is riding with Chris and Kayla. The others have left. So they are out of water chatting while me and Patience are still enjoying the water.  Catching up because I haven't seen her in a while.

Our chit-chat becomes nostalgic as time passes by, she's swimming around me. Smiling broadly, when I start talking about missing the old days, she stops, swims next to me. We are too close to be considered personal space.

"You know at some point I thought you liked me"

Oh where is this going. "I did." She tilts her head.

"So I wasn't just good enough."

I place my hand on her shoulder wanting to lighten the situation. "What. Patience you are beautiful..." Suddenly her lips are on mine.  What the hell is she doing. When I go to swim away a voice has me frozen.

"It's getting late." Olivia called from her window, Patiencemoved away from me. Thank goodness. "You should start heading home, it's never safe to drive in the dark."  Our eyes locked for a second before she disappeared.

"Patience you shouldn't have done that." Her face fell. I swam away from her. "She's right you should get going."

Chris and Kalya get up, saying goodbye while patience quietly gets out of the pool. I gather their stuff making no one leaves anything. Walking the car feels like hours of wasting time.

Why did I even put myself in this position. I just wanted to do a little harmless flirting and boom this shit blows up in my face.

"See you later Spencer. " They call for me and I happily wave them goodbye.

Once I close the door I rush to her room. But couldn't follow up with a knock so I go to my room instead, pacing and basically shitting rocks in my pants. What do I even say that won't make me look guilty.

Don't know how long I hid away before gaining the courage to face her. The door was locked. It's only us in the house so I don't mind knocking till the door breaks. However I don't get to do that because the door opens, steps forward leans on the door frame.
