Quick Backstory
Love.A word you had never understood outside of your own fantasies that you made up in your head as you lay in bed at night. You imagined what love would look like and feel like. Maybe you found it in the books you spent your days sitting up in your room reading while it seemed to come to your friends so easily...Maybe it was because you expected more out of love than what others did. You didn't want to settle for some asshole who would just use you and not respect you...leave you sitting at home waiting for a text back and prioritize his own ego over you.
You yearned to love and be loved. To give yourself to someone unconditionally wanting nothing in return except to be loved.
At one point in your life you thought you had found love was but it was nothing but lies and bullshit that hardened you. You had given your heart to him only for it to be abused. He made you feel like you were just "crazy, paranoid and jealous" if you ever voiced a concern or opinion. He stole your passion from you.
Thankfully you found the strength and courage to break things off after years of the mental abuse. You vowed to never allow another person walk all over you again, break you again...You wouldn't be so naive and trusting. That's what led you to this point in life. You were going to focus on you. Fuck love.

Photography was something you had always been passionate about. You were able to express yourself through it. Finding beauty in the simple things that most people passed by unnoticed....like yourself. It calmed and grounded you.
A month ago you had made the spontaneous decision to leave everything and everyone you knew and move to Seoul in search of something...freedom? Yourself?...You weren't sure, you just knew you needed out. You needed to start new.
You enrolled yourself in a photography course and applied for a student visa in the same night and much to your surprise both were accepted within a week. Living arrangement was your next hurdle but you were lucky enough to have found a real estate agency that agreed to work together through FaceTime showings.
After only seeing three apartments you found a quiet little place in the heart of Seoul. It was perfect for you. A one bedroom, one bathroom flat that actually had a full kitchen. The living area had one huge window that let in all of the afternoon sunshine. Part of the reason you chose this particular apartment was also for the view. Your bedroom window overlooked a quiet little park where you watched couples walk hand in hand on cool evening strolls, so in love nothing other than each other existed. The occasional solo passerby taking in the beauty that surrounded them. Some stopping to sit in the grass engulfed in a good book... Others having picnics. You longed for what each of them had...but remembered...just because it looked good on the outside didn't mean it was. You hated the feeling of being bitter towards relationships.

Present Day"Good morning" you said with a smile walking up to the counter. The mornings were still crisp this time of year so a hot coffee was a must on the walk to class.
The sweet barista who worked at the coffee shop you came to almost every morning flashed his perfect smile when he saw you. "Good morning y/n! The usual?"
"Please" you blushed looking down at the counter.
He was the sweetest man you had met in a very long time....he always radiated sunshine...just being near him was a breath of fresh air.You watched his tall slim figure from behind as he turned to pour you a cup of piping hot coffee.
"It's on me" he said handing you your to go cup.
