I woke up with a throbbing headache. Stressed from what happened last night, I started to move, looking around me I am definitely in Ethan's room. In a swift motion I looked beside me realizing I am alone in his bed. Grasping the soft texture of the striped blue and white comforter, and lifting it straight to my nose, I smelled his scent all over. I looked like a crazy inlove lunatic hugging it like a real person. Savouring the moment of being near his stuff. With eyes closed I dreamed about him. Him holding my waist and lifting me high up in the sky as I slowly descend to meet his luscious lips always wanting to taste mine's.
"Dana? What are you doing?" My sudden reverie was interrupted by a scent I clearly recognize, a voice that brings music to my ears, holding me by my hands, a touch that brings sensitivity to my body to the highest level. Shaking me gently, I opened my eyes. And there he was my prince charming, meeting my eyes with his lavish smile, already completing my day which has barely begun.
"Good morning, beautiful." Kissing me on the lips and started tickling me all over my body making me squeal like a baby elephant, I rolled all over his sheets and stayed hidden wallowing inside his scent.
"Come, let's eat breakfast." An invitation that sounds so tempting yet it makes me wanna stay forever in his bed and cuddle him like my only teddy bear.
"Just stay beside me for a bit." granting him entrance I pulled him below me. He smiled sheepishly.
"Dana, I know what you're thinking.. " he started to get up and pulled me out of the bed.
"I thought you are hungry?" He blushed and showed me his majestic smile avec dimples.
"That's just naughty." he blurted while laughing. Obviously trying to contain himself he suddenly thought of a better excuse to fully wake me up.
"My mom is waiting to meet you downstairs." Blinking at me it worked. I stood up like a soldier being ordered to do 20 push ups. Looking at him like I've just seen a ghost.
"She is downstairs? Why you didn't tell me sooner?" I complained as I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and help myself to look presentable.
"Trust me I did try, and she cooked breakfast." That made me more nervous than ever.
"How do I look?" staring at him in bewilderment, panicking he moved closer.
"Relax, baby, it's just my mom. Wait, until you see my dad." This time he is holding his laughter.
"Seriously?" I answered eyes widening, he pulled me and gave me a breathtaking kiss.
"Feeling better now?" All this thoughts came racing through my head, what if his mom doesn't like me? Nor his dad? Meeting the parents is definitely not my cup of tea..but I guess I have no choice at the moment.
I went down the stairs with Ethan and there she is, a beautiful woman holding a bouquet of daisies that she was about to put on a very nice shaped tall vase. Looks expensive...I thought.
"Good morning my dear, how are you today?" She seems nice..."Ethan here have been talking a lot about you, you definitely made a good impression on him." Ethan covered his face shyly and shook his head.."Mom this is Dana, Dana meet my mom." We shook hands and she offered me to eat breakfast with them.
"Where's Dad?" He asks as he munched on a croissant as he handed me a plate full of pancakes. Wow! This is a lot to take in..do they have breakfast like these everyday, it's like a feast..Pancakes, hotdogs, scrambled eggs, croissant, ham, watermelon, papaya, apples on the side.
"He left early, he has a business meeting that he needs to attend to, you should bring Dana to the polo club maybe she'll like it there." I smiled....rich people. I thought.
She didn't ask much about me which I find very weird, I guess Ethan did fill her in with all the details. We bid goodbye and Ethan decided to drop me off since I am not interested in going to that polo club.
With an argument at hand I am not interested in doing some gathering or meeting new people when I haven't sorted it out with my best friend, who was waiting for me back home.
As soon as Ethan left, I went straight to my room, surprisingly Jasper was there sleeping soundlessly, it's almost lunch time he's still sleeping. I nudged him gently by the shoulders.
"Jasper, how long have you been sleeping, aren't you hungry?" He almost fell to the floor utterly surprised that I was there beside him.
Hugging me tightly as he blinked a few times and face palmed himself just to be sure he is not dreaming.
"Oh Dana, are you still mad at me?" I looked in his eyes I see pain and loss....
"I am not mad anymore, I cannot be mad at you for a long time you know that." I started fixing my stuff in my luggage.
"Where are you going?" He asked quizzically.
"I'm gonna be staying at Ethan's place for a while, we can leave together in a few days for the airport."
"You didn't have to move out, I can stay at a hotel." Jasper apologetically replied. He cannot change my decision, it was final. I have to make a stand, to prove to him where I belong, and that is on Ethan's arms.
I passed by my aunt's room and bide her goodbye, luckily she didn't argue nor question me as long as I gave her the address where I'm staying and the phone number. Within ten minutes I was out of the house as Ethan was waiting for me outside the front porch. I cannot deal with Jasper's emotions right now. It will only confuse me.
After all he deserved his girlfriend who loves him very much. This is going to be hard, I know I had just left my best friend, but I know this is for the best...
