Chapter 10, Laughter / Power (1/2)

(2 Days Later)
-Leo's POV-

Ribbon did one of his mental preparations with me again. Transportation systems, which is surprising.

The train leads to the Capital of the government to worship him I guess and see him?

"So, just only one location?" I raised an eyebrow at the board hologram.

"Yes, it sounds ridiculous." Ribbon sighed and put the board away. I laugh a little, trying to contain myself, "I understand loving yourself, but this is a little too far."

"Well, it's what you expect from the government." Vincent chuckled, "Power is what they enjoy."

"Either we can destroy him tonight or tomorrow." Ribbon rubbed his chin.

"Woah, already? I thought we agreed not to rush this?" Vincent nudged him repeatedly.

"I mean if we just don't do anything, his power will expand, and his ideas will get worse. We need to get rid of him." Ribbon moved away.

"Whatever you say, just hope no one gets injured." Vincent sat back down. "Not going to happen." Ribbon placed his hands on his hips.

I gave tea to people and did some other small tasks. I brushed a girl's hair, talked to some adults, comforted teenagers, and played with children.

Indigo was given a cane for the first time, the doctors helped her get used to it a little bit. I watched her during the process and I felt so proud.

She made some progress, by practicing through a hallway(with assistance to get used to the feeling) and standing for a few minutes. The doctors told her not to push herself too much.

After that, her and I went to hangout.
Today has been smooth but also busy. I appreciate the compliments I've been getting.

I really needed to hear it though.

I lived in a 'world' where nothing happened,
it was quiet
other than the ones who made it too loud.

But I wanted to hear at least something that made me feel okay.

a noise, a sound, a simple one.

I genuinely enjoyed feeling appreciated, acknowledged, and noticed.

Even if this world isn't perfect either.

I kinda enjoyed being here.
I want to help everyone.

I also enjoy Vincent.
He's getting closer to me as always - making me feel good, feeling loved, and appreciated.

I love when he hugs me, it's so warm and satisfies me.

That is his only use to make me feel good, I don't really care as much about him.

I am still aware he likes me, he's adorable - he's not even hiding it...

The touch of his hands, his words, his body language, and face.

I forgot I teased him 2 days ago but Vincent seemed fine, it makes me laugh how calm he is.

I pour myself a cup of hot tea and drank away while sitting down. "I heard a lot of good things from you kiddo." Ribbon patted my head from behind.

"I know!" I chuckle.

"I feel amazing today." I stare at my reflection in the tea.

"That's good. If you need me I'll be in the main lobby." Ribbon exits the kitchen.
