I get coffee with Skylar and Kasimira so I can apologize to them for not hanging out with them, "sorry I haven't spoken with you guys, I've been so caught up in bullshit lately.."
Skylar Sipped her coffee and instantly spit it out, "yuc- I mean it's okay Tierra!" Kasimira added, "We've been busy with our own business anyway!" I laughed and drank her coffee as I sighed in relief.
Kasimira clears her throat, "so how has your life been lately?" Skylar laughed covering her mouth, "it's been okay" responded softly sipping my coffee. Maverick appeared sitting Beside Tierra, I smiled, "hey maverick," he replied, "Hello Tierra, Kasimira and Skylar." He frowned, "you okay?" Skylar looked up, "huh? Yeah I'm fine! She said, choking on coffee.
He tilted his head as the Waitress approached, "one coffee please!" He said to the gorgeous Waitress, "Coming right up!" Replied the waitress walking away. I asked, "You like coffee?" I turned to him, "I haven't tried it before, although, it seems that Skylar's fond of it so I figured I might as well give it a try! Right Skylar?" Skylar looked at Him and nodded, I smiled and rubbed it off.
The waitress came and delivered his coffee, "Thanks ma'am!" Said Maverick, Glancing at the coffee he takes a little sip.
It ends up tasting disgusting to him but he pretends to like it.
I laughed non stop, "your face!! Ha!!" Skylar laughs, Embarrassed Maverick grins, "here! You can have my coffee!!" He smiled handing Skylar the coffee, Skylar smiled back exchanging smiles and laughs.
Maverick Looked outside the window observing the outside view of the city.
Maverick then looked around the coffee smelling place that surrounded him and watched as people walked by and looked at the brown flooring of the building.
He looked back at Tierra, "what do you guys wanna do?" Kasimira Insisted, "let's go look at our younger stuff that we made when we were kids!!" I looked completely excited and smiled, "that sounds fun!! I was a maniac as a kid! Full of potential though" Skylar just stared at Maverick. Maverick looked at Skylar and smiled, "well, let's go then!" He stood up, held out his hand and I grabbed his hand smiling.
Kasimira jumped out of her seat and began to walk excitedly.
Skylar followed behind afraid of Maverick ruining her cover.
They first went to My house to get my stuff. Yes, I have a house now. Since we were nearly adults we decided to separate.
not to mention that my room was a mess because I forgot to clean forever. Kasimira didn't like how messy my room was. Maverick waited outside with Skylar and kept her company.
I think they are slowly warming up kinda. I grabbed the stuff and looked around my room that had dirty clothes everywhere, my decorations and stuff I collected on the floor and my bed not even neatly folded together on my bed. I'm a disaster to society.
Me and Kasimira struggled to get out of my room due to the mess and almost fell a few times but made it out alive.
Kasimira reminded Me, "never let me in your room again."
We moved on to Skylar's house next. Skylar is never at her house, she says, so her room isn't made. We walked to the door and a random lady that acted like she was Possessed or something suspicious.
Maverick glanced at the lady and sensed that something was making her act up and moved along.
He walked inside following the others suspiciously. I was just shocked the expression was all over my face, "this is your room?!" "It's like heaven!" Skylar laughed, "yep, it is!" Kasimira looked at all the Angel stuff Skylar had in her room and started being suspicious about Skylar since she had TONS of Angel stuff it was crazy.
Skylar felt like she accomplished something but really she hasn't.
(Maverick's POV)
I couldn't hold it in anymore and pinned Skylar to the wall that has angel pictures and figures on it holding an angel blade to her neck.
Tierra thought I was insane and left. Kasimira was trying to get me off her. I wouldn't budge full of rage and suspicion. I accused her of being one of my fathers angels and asked why she was here.
She didn't even try to fight me on it and confessed, "Yes I'm an Angel. So what? I can't interact with humans?" She added as her voice was rising, "I haven't felt more alive! Our father always thought I was less than the others like a stupid doll in a house waiting to be picked!!" I let her go, "how long have you been here? Disguised under the name 'Skylar?'" "For about 10 years, I needed this! I didn't have anyone to talk to!!" "You don't understand how much I needed this?!" Skylar spoke losing her mind. "What's your real name?" I said and she answered, "I am Selenite one of the lost angels that fell long ago." I let her go. She continued, "most of my powers are in possession of another Angel so I'm weaker than I used to be." Kasimira and Tierra couldn't believe what They've been hearing and walked outside overwhelmed.
Tierra always had a soft spot for Skylar since Tierra and her are almost alike, both wanting a change of scenery, freedom and attention.
The Next day, Tierra ran out of school in excitement jumping into my arms and caught me off guard, "What is it?" I responded, "there's a party tonight and you're coming with me!!" I am shaken by the thought, "uh, I don't really do parties..." Tierra replied excitedly, "well too bad! Wear something fancy! I'm counting on you maverick." She ran off and I disappeared,
I gets really bad headaches at parties with loud music and millions of people dancing and drinking.
I decided to put on my best suit I had. Then I met her at the party at 8 o'clock. She looked so dashing in the Blue sparkly dress she had on.
I asked, "may I?" Holding out my arm as she nodded and wrapped her arm around mine and we walked inside.
Kasimira and Skylar stared at Them at the food booths, Tierra looked and waved at them smiling.
Maverick glanced over but looked back at Tierra, "would you like to dance?" She laughed, "I would." As she pulled me to the dance floor and everyone was slowly dancing to a couples song.
I realized that I didn't know how to dance so I awkwardly sat there watching Tierra observing. Tierra looked at me, "do you now know how to dance?" She whispered, I muttered, "no, I'm from heaven we don't dance." She scoffed, "well! I'll teach ya!!" She smiled as I tried following her slow movements feeling stupid looking around for anyone looking.
I started to get it down and as we danced we looked at each other, I felt a tension it was deep and brutal something I've never felt or experienced.
She put her arms around my shoulders and we naturally danced.
Vincent arrived at the party as Kasimira noticed Him. He walked up asking Kasimira to dance and she accepted.
They walked up to the dance floor but Vincent was only dancing with her to get closer to Maverick so he could slowly ruin his life.
Vincent holding a cup of tea as he threw it at Maverick then pushed him down with everyone staring.
I stood up, the coffee slowly burning my skin. I felt the heat of the coffee swarming my body. It burned like mosquitos bitting the crap out of you.
The lights flickered around me as the lights came tumbling down hitting the ground. I watched as the lights hit the ground.
Skylar got up running over to Maverick, "we need to get you out of here now." She said and walked him out as Kasimira moved everyone out of the building. Two people died from the lights.
Skylar teleported Maverick somewhere secure.
Skylar asked, "are you going to be okay if I leave you here? I don't want you to do anything stupid while I'm gone." I replied, "I'll be fine, The coffee was just having a weird effect on me. Go help Kasimira"
