The second that Kamdyn walked out of camera view sight, Macey went crazy. She'd caught her off guard and pushed her into a wall before throwing her to the ground, making sure she hit the corner of her desk with as much force as she could. She punched, kicked, stepped on her, and eventually started to leave the office, leaving Kamdyn to fend for herself.

"Back off Kamdyn. Let this be your warning," she spat before heading down the hallway.

She pulled herself up and cleaned her bloody nose and lip up before getting an ice pack from her mini fridge and putting it directly to her head. The small couch she had in her office came in very handy while she closed her eyes for a second.

Macey knew the camera angles, she knew everything about the building so Kamdyn wasn't at all shocked that she waited until she was in the office to attack her.

"Hey Kam, you got those water flavor packets in here?" One of the guys from the pit crew came in after knocking.

"On the desk," she mumbled, keeping her eyes shut and her arm over them, shielding them from any light.

"You good? Where'd that bruise come from?"

"What bruise?" She asked, still not bothering to move.

"The one on your face that's extremely purple,"

"I fell," she mumbled, telling a white lie even though she wanted to scream to the world that Macey did it.

"On your face?"

"Yeah. On my face," she nodded but quickly regret it as pain shot through her head.

"You sure you're good?"

"Mhm," she nodded, hating herself again as she groaned.

"Alright," he shrugged, leaving her office and pulling the door shut.

She jumped a little as the door shut, whining as soon as she was alone. The ice was melting but if she was being honest, the cold ice water felt good on her head. She knew she had to get up and work, she couldn't just lay there for the rest of the day.

She got up and turned the brightness down on her computer but that didn't help one bit. She was still staring at a screen. She knew she had a few things to give to Ryan so she got up and grabbed the papers, heading it of her office.

"Hey Kam...woah. What happened to you?" He asked, noticing the black eye and bruised jaw immediately.

"Hmm?" She asked, "I just have these for you,"

"Okay. Beside the point. You look miserable,"

"I'm fine," she sighed, leaning against the wall for support.

"You look like you're swaying all over the place,"

"Ryan," she shook her head and immediately regret it, using the wall to hold herself steady. "I'm okay. I just fell. It's nothing,"

"It's not nothing Kam. It looks awful and you're swaying all over the place. I want to take you to get checked,"

"No. Ryan, I promise. I'm okay,"

"Then stop leaning on the wall," he challenged.

Kamdyn did just that and couldn't help but sway again and go right back to the wall that had become her best friend in the past minute.

"Come on," he said as he stood her up slightly. He held her up as they headed to his car which Macey saw and didn't like one bit. She knew she had to get rid of Kamdyn somehow so she could have Ryan all to herself.

"You don't have to do this. I can take myself," Kamdyn sighed as she put her seatbelt on.

"With how much you were off in there? Not a chance. What did you fall on?" He asked, but secretly had a feeling it was all Macey's fault.

"I tripped on the leg of my couch and fell into my desk," she mumbled, holding her head as he drove.

"How did you manage that one?"

"I wasn't looking. Pretty sure my phone is broken," she sighed, leaning back in the seat. "How much longer?"

"About 5 minutes. We probably should've gotten some ice for you before we left Penske,"

She just groaned and tried to keep herself calm until they pulled into the urgent care parking lot.

"Alright. Let's go," he said as he put the car in park and shut it off.

She slowly got out and pushed the door shut before she managed to walk into the building and sit in the chair. She checked herself in on the app and waited before heading back soon enough.

Ryan stayed in the waiting room while Kam was in the back. She was honestly just laying there with her arms over her eyes as she answered the doctor's questions. They ordered a CT scan just to check before officially diagnosing her with a concussion.

They basically just told her to stay away from screens for the next few days and rest at home while she recovered. She came out eventually, waving him over as she walked out to the door and toward the car.

"Concussion?"

"Mhm," she mumbled, sitting in her seat before he drove her home. Not back to Penske like she was thinking. "What are we doing?"

"Come on. I'll figure out how to get your car home," he promised, getting out and putting the code in for her garage. "Go lay on the couch or bed or something,"

"Mhm," she mumbled again, going to her room and falling into her bed.

Ryan went back to Penske and got everything shut off in her office before grabbing her bag and extra car key.

"Hey, where you going? I have a few things I need you to do," Macey said as she found Ryan coming out of Kamdyn's office.

"I gotta get back to Kam. I don't want her home alone right now. She apparently fell and hit her head on her desk, gave herself a concussion," he shrugged, "I'll do whatever you need me to tomorrow,"

"Oh wow. Hope she feels better," Macey said with a slight roll of her eyes, which didn't go unnoticed by Ryan.

Ryan simply brushed it off and found her Bronco, easily driving it back to her house, worrying about his own car later.

He stopped and got them something to eat before checking in on Kam who was sound asleep. He took the ice pack that she was using and put it back in the freezer before putting her food in the fridge and waiting on her to wake up.
