Well. That wouldn't do.

Peril snorted a bout of flames as Lynx passed, overtaking her after a round of teasing about Clay. Not a SINGLE DAY had passed since the beach - I know, it was tedious, but at least she could still annoy Kinkajou about the boiling water. Maybe she'd chuck a bucket of the stuff over her head sometime. Or brush past her wing in the corridor maybe.

It was an accident, I'm so sorry, I'm not a monster....

But wait. No. Clay wouldn't want that, would he? Kinkajou was Clay's student, Peril didn't think he'd want her burning one of his students. She buried the thought firmly away in her 'never to be thought about again' box, which was coincidentally right next to the 'things I never ever want to do' box that Lynx and Fatespeaker had filled up a few days ago.

Flirt with another Mudwing? LUDICROUS! ABSOLUTE BALDERDASH. COMPLETE CODSWALLOP -

Unfortunately, Peril found herself so caught up in finding other words for garbage, that she didn't notice the dragon in front of her, who very nearly collided right into her wing. She leapt back with a yelp, hitting the wall and leaving a dragon shaped singe mark.

"Watch where you're going!" The dragon cried. A MudWing. Curse my ironic luck. She snorted through her nostrils, sending a few warning flickers out.

"Watch where you're going, more like." She retorted, and slunk off to leave him to his head-shaking alone.

See, Clay. I can control my temper. I DIDN'T burn him, even though he REALLY REALLY deserved it. Hah!

But when she looked ahead, Clay wasn't looking back - he was already engrossed in a conversation with another SkyWing. The horror!

A sudden pang of jealously rippled up her spine, and Peril felt a growl build at her loose jaw. You love ME, Clay! Stop talking to them and talk to ME! I don't get it, what am I doing wrong?!

Maybe I SHOULD listen to Lynx and Fatespeaker. Is that what I'm missing? Fatespeaker got close to Starflight... Well, close-ER. Is that what I have to do? Is that what EVERYONE does?

With a heavily reluctant and hesitant sigh, she spun around, away from Clay, and located the MudWing she'd almost incinerated earlier. Just do it, Peril.

"Wait!" She called. He stopped icy still in his tracks and his eyes landed on hers with a glimmer of annoyance. Peril stalked closer, trying to appear seductive, but coming off more as a drunken duck.

Alright. Flirting. I can wing this. Pick up lines, Peril, pick up lines.

"H-h-ey..." She stammered. "So... Do you beleive in love at first sight or should I walk past again?" She leaned back with what she hoped was a charming smile. It's probably more like a snarl. Turn the lips up more! Sparkling teeth - my teeth aren't sparkling, well, WHO CARES.

"I believe we already met." He narrowed his eyes. "When you nearly burnt me to a crisp."

"Even you admit it. I'm just too hot." She grinned, grimacing inwardly at the line.

"Are you trying to flirt with me?" He growled.

"Yes! Yes, exactly! Could you please show some signs of affection so Clay will be jealous and love me?" She gushed.

"What the Darkstalker's wrong with you? If you love him, flirt with him not me!"

Well yeah. That WOULD make sense, wouldn't it? Then why for the moons' sake are Lynx and Fatespeaker putting me up to this?
